Same. I couldn’t get a plumber so I shut off the water and capped it watching YouTube videos. Props to me, my wife said I couldn’t do it.
While I wouldn't word it in a way to pool-splain the professional, I will say that I never would have known that I could do anything without your posts. I've spoken to a lot of folks around me and none had done anything after the power died.
I don't get this. I went to the grocery store on Friday, 48 hours before we knew the storm was coming.
So did I. And then I threw about $100 of it away once we lost power and I didn't think to put it in the garage
I too buy 10 cases of water every time I go to HEB because I foresaw going 96 hours without running water.
Cut the pipe and installed a 1 inch galvanized to PVC fitting (my line was galvanized). And capped the PVC.
My god, a republican governor in Texas just said “we will not end this session until ERCOT is fully winterized” Is this really happening?
We need to normalize bullying Ted until that worthless motherfucker just quits such an evil and absolutely worthless human being
Fuck these companies. I hope the families take every dime. Fuck politicians that put profits over people
The colder weather alone and amount of energy consumed alone could probably make up that difference. How many more kW did you use than previous month? That does not seem that bad.
We posted our electric bills a couple years ago that showed kW usage and mine was astronomical. Kind of scared to see how much I used this past month. I do levelized billing
I used just under 1,000 kwh, 900sqft place. I messed up on my most recent renewal and got a bad rate for under 1,000. I would have paid less if I exceeded 1,000 due to credits I think. Normally I’m at like 600 kWh.
patrick > paxton > cornyn > cruz > abbott in order of shittiness and that’s not saying abbott doesn’t suck, he’s just the most stupid out of all of them
This list was only for state-wide office holders. If we are opening it up to the congressional delegation, Gohmert rockets to 1.
