My most prized possession! It’s 314/500 print. It was on their website for a short time and I happened to be in there to snag one a few years ago.
A Daft Punk BBC Radio 1 mix from 1999 (there's a tracklist in the comments of the video) Live DJ set from 1997
agree that it is really bizarre to quit before releasing at least one more project. Just 8 years of radio silence.
My wife got home and saw that I was listening to ‘This is Daft Punk’ on Spotify and was just like “you, uhh, alright?”
that piece of shit george Clooney movie derailed the tron legacy sequel and I’ll never forgive it. I wanted another 2-3 hour daft punk music video
They were serving draft beer, but also bottles of wine on ice and they would dump the whole bottle in an old school sports water bottle (think Gatorade style sideline bottles), so I drank four bottles of wine. Yes. Yes, I was feeling good and dancing like a complete and total weirdo.
Watched the Lollapalooza set last night. What a great set. Wish I could have seen them once. Wife was there in 07 and says it’s one of the best shows she’s ever seen at a lollapalooza.
Me too. I went to Bonnaroo that year and just couldn’t find away to go to a third big festival. That whole lineup at Vegoose was legendary aside from Daft Punk.
Keep waiting for someone to bump this and say sike. But read a few good articles on them this AM. This one seems to capture that they were quite ready to step away for quite some time.
I’m obviously no longer hoping for a new album of theirs or for another tour. I do, however, hope that we can still get them working solo on producing other work with other artists. They’re just too good to stop working entirely.
Damnit, I’m not on Twitter and having trouble navigating through it. Will have to bring in Twitter verse friend reinforcements.
