If you’re planning on holding any of these long term, you should be pulling for transaction-based accounting that treats profits as capital gains.
I’m confused by your argument. Are you saying the IRS is going to ignore the millions of dollars changing hands in an open and transparent way? Calculating your gains for tax purposes is very simple.
57,000. Wouldn’t even get a Cool Cat pack tonight. They are going to have to scale up to 100,000 packs soon for Series 3.
A week ago I said I was ok with people buying Tacko gifs for $20. Today I wish I would have taken my own advice
The Cool Cats so far are a minimum $18,000 to have each so far for the LaMelo master challenge. Those Cryptokitty adopters that have the KAT Cryptokitty are going to price it out of the park on the market. I believe there will be 12,000 of them but I would predict $2,000 minimum to get one after a day.
As predicted. Thankfully have a bunch of balance from sales to buy them cheap moments. It will definitely drop farther once packs drop again (larger than 5K obv). Then you'll see a rebound.
I was referring to the unintentional basketball pun, which was made even better by the "Then you'll see..." corresponding to the structure of Moments. Truly beautiful.
I will let you guys know as soon as I can withdraw. I only plan on selling what I need to get back my original investment and transfer that out. I’ll do both ETH wallet transfer and bank wire. I had my materials sent in and noted received three weeks back so I’m expecting the ability to do so within the next two weeks.
I don’t understand the people who thought you weren’t going to be able to withdraw. You seriously think these people were going to steal millions of dollars from thousands of people so openly and brazenly? This isn’t Wall Street.
I had to send in a picture of me holding my ID as well as pictures of the front and back of my DL. Pretty normal in the crypto space for KYC (Know Your Customer). I was asked by them for it when my deposit hit over $1,000.
I imagine that there is a bit of gaming the $$ coming in at this point by Dapper to keep the market healthy. But there are also legitimate reasons for a wait with potential money laundering and fraud issues. I wasn’t expecting to take out by this point when investing. Since it went crazy the past week though, I think taking my original investment out is the wise play. I’ve got plenty of moments to play with after that and stay fluid on the market.

Before I answer this can you please clarify what your intention was with collecting the Pokémon cards? This will help me understand if you’re doing this for the right or wrong reasons and allow me to answer
Dapper closed a $250M round of funding... hopefully they can use that to make a product that actually works. If you're on topShot, you should be on Loupe App too
