I'm not talking about shocking your system, I said normal people with healthy diets. healthy diets include days where you eat shitty foods and normal people eat fast food. if you guys are getting diarrhea and it's not related to an actual illness it is literally because there isn't enough soluble fiber in your diet.

Lenny’s shits on Jersey Mike’s. Not sure if it counts as national, but it’s the best on this list.

Jimmy John’s isn’t the best but they’re easily the most convenient if you live or work near one. Much better to order online and customize the h*ck out of your sandwich

Their delivery/service/operations game is chick-fil-a tier without the fake manners and I think they deserve a little credit for that. There are always exceptions but they seem to mostly be very well run and efficient.

Jimmy John's is ok if one is in a hurry, or if the only other option is Subway. But really, just take an extra five minutes and find someplace better.

We had a Goodcents in the Cincinnati suburbs for about a year around 2015 or so. I ate there for lunch at work at least once a week and it would’ve been my vote. It was in a terrible location that turned over a lot of restaurants and they just couldn’t get the foot traffic. Also blew my mind when I’d go into the BP across the street and the subway inside the gas station line would be out the door

I'd like to say the best non-chain sub place on earth is Angie's subs in Jax beach.

Firehouse, Jimmy John's and Mike's are all about the same to me.

Laspada’s has locations in Coral Springs, Davie and Boca Raton, so as far as I’m concerned that’s national. Best sandwich chain ever.

Also, Primanti Brothers has a South Florida location in addition to its flagship Pittsburgh store so that’s National in my book.

I ate Quiznos probably 4 times a week in college (2004-2007) and can’t tell you the last time I’ve even seen a location.

I’d lean Jersey Mike’s and Which Wich on this list.

Also I’ve never heard of Penn Station, not sure that’s National.

Lastly, I have a former co-worker who got irrationally angry when people said or typed “Potbelly’s” like the OP instead of Potbelly.

touched on it in another post but corporate bought supplies (food, paper products) from vendors then sold them to franchisees for a markup. food cost in particular were astronomical so the margins very slim. you had to sell mad sandwiches compared to a subway to even break even and Quiznos isn’t really a high volume place like that

corporate would also do shit like run promotions without the franchisees being on board so they just wouldn’t honor them. that created more issues. i remember them running a bogo coupon in our local paper and the owner of the store knew nothing of it until people starting bringing these coupons in. it was a mess.

Wow that must be a new development. Used to always have to ask for yellow mustard in a packet. Do those come on the sandwiches or do you have to ask?

Quiznos yesterday was awesome. Sandwich was exactly the same as remembered, but the nostalgia factor and getting one after believing they were extinct made it a 9.5/10 lunch.

To add to this prices were significantly higher than similar places like Subway, it seemed like once a day someone would complain about the price of their sub. IIRC for the premium subs plus chips and a drink it was around $12 and similar ones from Subway with chips and a drink were like $8 (this was in 2007).
