So is this legit? I don’t really use ebay and the cards I look up are all over the place. I’m not really sure how to look up what has sold. I’m trying to figure out what cards to send in to be graded.
I pulled an auto from a retail pack, and I can't even remember who it was ill have to go back and look. Some udfa wr who already isn't on a team anymore
I dont know where the links send you but this is what I linked Yours looks more like the $170 card. I didnt see that one until after i already posted the first, didn't realize there was 2 versions. Just assumed yours didn't look as shiny from picture quality.
that was a pic of it I found online. Looking at it I’m not 100 percent sure which one it is. Not really a loss either way.
I started reading this thread and freaking out about the money they’re talking about. Do you have any opinions on if I should send any of these in? Some of those guys were saying some cards are going for 5 to 10 thousand.
I don't submit cards for grading myself so I probably wouldn't be the one to ask. 9's and 10's are difficult to get with older cards, the price difference between a PSA 6 and a PSA 10 is pretty substantial.
Oh boy this is going to be fun. Those are some good cards. Without seeing them in person it’s tough to say but if there aren’t any noticeable blemishes I would grade any Kobe rookie you have
Yea hard to tell what to grade from pictures. But anything that looks well centered and has nice sharp corners and edges with no surface issues for a Kobe, I would for sure send it in. I sent one of my two Kobe rookies in. Other had some minor edge issues. If you have LeBron rookies, same thing. I sent 2 in and debating sending all 20 from my 20 card rookie set
In High School I found out Henrik Zetterberg signed cards sent to his agent. My friend told me his agent opened all the letters and gave the cards to Zetterberg in a stack to sign and then the agent put the cards to send back in randomly (i.e. didnt always get card back you sent). I sent some common card to him and was sent back a signed Young Guns. His YG card sells over $450 now...some poor dude sent that and got back my common card. Card went through the mail, it's in good shape but don't think it's gradeable, but I think I'm going to send it in for autograph authentification. I have a friend who works for JSA who told me it looks 100% legit, but think I'm going to send it to psa so it matches my other encased cards
All my graded cards are psa and I sent another 19 cards to psa last week and may send another order of between 20-40 in their bulk order (most of those to sell). But it will cost me $50/each to verify auto on the Zetterberg and Datsyuk YG autos or I have a friend who does bulk Beckett orders and said he could include them in his for $10/each. Is it worth saving $80 or am I too OCD that it will annoy me they are slabbed differently in my PC than my other cards
I would go with PSA if you believe it would bother you enough it being in a different slab. Nothing wrong with staying consistent.
You'll want to send anything in that doesn't have major defects. Be very careful in removing those cards from the booklet sleeves. Find some good, bright lighting and inspect all the corners and tilt the card at various angles to get the best look at the surface. Place them into a soft (penny) sleeve and then into a hard case. Any Kobe rookie is worth sending if it's going to be a 7 or higher IMO. Submitting orders can take up to 9 months to get back so hopefully you're a patient guy.
I got lucky yesterday and found some NBA Hoops at Walmart. No optic though. Hope you hit a burrow/herbert!
I have a target, meijer and Walmart all within a mile of each other. I’ve gone to all of them literally every day since Sunday and I scored ONCE on sunday at target. Went to a card shop and walked in and out in less than 10 mins. Quite a bit more expensive though.
Did you get hobby or retail stuff at the card shop? I've seen card shops flipping retail and I'm not down with that.
Only card shop within 100 miles of me is flipping retail. Prizm and mosaic cellos are going $50 per pack. Donruss hobby has run up to $20 per pack which is ugh
16 pack big box 2 hanger boxes 3 packs. they only had topps 2021, but beggars can’t be choosers these days.
yeah the hangar boxes say they come with two blues. I went to the one a town over. Went to my towns trifecta and they had nothing lol
Apparently scheels stocks some now. They only had topps series 1 blasters but I bet they had 300 blasters of them today.
Hope everyone got their PSA bulk orders in last week because the days of grading low-end cards are basically done with. Their lowest level is now $25 per card for cards valued under $499. I'd imagine with this new pricing system that we will see another grading company excel in the low-end market.
