Heading back the first week in April. Anyone know what operating capacity is at now due to safety protocols? I'm hoping the Ratatouille ride at Epcot will be open by then.
https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/02/25/disney-world-extends-park-hours-for-spring-break/ Hours extended significantly for the start of our trip. Means they expect a sizable crowd size jump, but that’s not unexpected for people going at spring break. Pretty happy with it duc15
looking at this more I’m curious what the hours will be starting the 21st? That’s our first day in the park.
What’s the best way to be alerted if a dining window opens up? We’re going in two weeks and the wife and I want to go to Oga’s Cantina at some point of either the 15th or 16th. Aside from just constantly refreshing the app and checking, is there any way to set up a notification through the app, or do you have to use third party websites?

https://abc7.com/disney-disneyland-reopening-resort-california-adventure-park/10391723/ this says no indoor rides for now they will probably have to work out some of these details over the next few weeks
We are taking the kids next Monday and Tuesday to the magic kingdom. Booked a room sunday-wednesday at pop century since we will literally just be sleeping there. Got a call on Wednesday that they were bumping us to Grand Floridian for free.
Idk they just called and asked if we were interested. I just confirmed no money was due, and they said it was completely no charge
It happens on occasion at Disney. The value resorts are frequently overbooked so the lucky few get bumped up to deluxe.
Correct. We'd rather keep selling out the value spots and moving people, than let empty rooms sit because they're too expensive.
Not to mention we’re still in a pandemic, so there’s going to be availability in the top price point options. Been tons of stories of DVC members getting upgraded from studios to 1 and 2brs.
Just got back. Magic Kingdom was slammed yesterday. 90 minute wait for Pirates, 90 minute for Splash and 7 Dwarfs. Simple stuff for the little kids like Peter Pan, Small World, etc were an hour. Best decision we made was "quiet time" for the kids from 2-4. Lines were shorter from 7pm - 10 pm. They have for sure ramped up capacity. The no fast pass thing is brutal. I don't know how you could have more people in the park. Felt like at least 80%. Wall to wall walking down Main Street at 9:30 AM. Still had a great time.
The capacity number is usually misunderstood If they say they are at 35% capacity, that means it's 35% of theoretical capacity where 100% is christmas day. Not 35% of what a normal march day would be, which is probably like 50-60% capacity.
Any idea of what's to come from todays shareholder meeting? I was expecting a France pavilion update with Flower and Garden starting, but last I heard they hadn't even started training yet for the new ride yet so seems unlikely
Looking at Touring Plans right now and Splash has a posted 105min but expected 55. 7 Dwarfs at 85 posted 55 expected. Buzz 50 posted expected 25. Same for big thunder. Haunted Mansion line was out to BTM this morning but only a 35min posted.
Remi confirmed 10/1 open. I would bet they get Harmonious going that date as well. Avengers Campus will open in Disneyland this year. Target for Disneyland open is EOM April
They varied because of the way they would load you. Pirates, for example, said 50 minutes but we waited well over an hour. And it just depends if you have a bunch of big families in front of you or a bunch of 2 riders. They'll load a boat with a full family but then may only have 4 people on a boat if its 2 and 2. But then some were a little shorter than posted. A buddy of mine who went back in Oct told me the wait times were like half of what was posted. That wasn't our experience. I think they've gotten them a bit more accurate. But yesterday may have just been randomly very crowded...no idea. The weather could not have been any more perfect.
Going for a couple of days a few weeks from now. Gonna be in animal kingdom one of the days. What’s the best place to eat for me and the wife?
Wife and daughter have been going every other week for months. The parks have been mostly empty and she said she felt more Covid safe than a trip to Publix. They went today and said it's way more crowded to the point she doesn't feel comfortable.
