Is Hunter going to play tonight? No idea who we have that can stay in front of Shai with Hunter/Reddish and Dunn on IR. Would be nice to get them back
Back up unit really starting to coalesce. Bogey looking good. Like what Nate has done with rotations.
Bogie is just so skilled. He is an elite bench option. We are going to be a tough out in the playoffs. also it’s amazing how Nate rediscovered Nathan knight after the sensational start he had.
Serious question, if they finish up the rest of the season with a really good record after Lloyd was fired do you seriously consider Nate McMillan for head coach? This team has won seven games straight, albeit against not super great teams, but I can't imagine that it hasn't happen since the one seed season under Budenholzer.
Sure, but how often does making an interim head coach the full-time head coach work out in the NBA? I know he has a long pedigree which is obviously why I'm asking, but not a lot of success in the playoffs.
I guess it just depends. Lead us to a 7-8 and get blown out by Milwaukee or Brooklyn? Probably not. But if we do get a 5 or 6 and win a playoff series than I think he deserves a hard look.
Nate Mac is our coach next season tbh. Lloyd Pierce I’m not sure I would let coach a middle school team.
Nate won that game in the 3rd quarter with matchups. Keeping JC on the floor with Bogie, Huerter, Snell and Rondo was some savvy coaching.
Lonzo is demonstrably better than Cam in every metric right now. however I’d also like to see Cam have a normal off-season / training camp to develop and obviously play under a competent coach. if we gave up Cam and say a 2 for Lonzo, we are a better team without much debate but I’d always wonder what if. and I don’t think SVg is the coach to unlock Cam either
Well, if two NBA coaches can’t unlock Cam Reddish and Mike Krzyzewski couldn’t either, then I think we have our answer about Cam Reddish.
Lonzo is area a restricted free agent. Not super confident in keeping him around if we can't even pay Collins.
the Boston thing 100% came from Ainge or Ainge adjacent. To get Collins and Bogie would require Smart and Jaylon. Boston wouldn’t to Collins for Smart straight up and everyone in the league knows it but they act like we’d give up Bogie too for trash like Lankford and Nesmith
also pretty sure we can’t trade Bogie yet based on when he was signed but yeah go crazy Celtics Bleacher Report
My point was in reply to the thought that SVG wasn’t the coach to unlock him. So that’d equal two NBA coaches + Krzyzewski. At some point, we gotta acknowledge that Reddish is who he is.
I think you gotta do a Lonzo:reddish 1 to 1 if it’s available. But I still think it’s way too early to give up on Reddish. he really hit some strides last year before the season was cancelled. He was awful early this year but I think we deserve to see how he looks under competent coaching.
So help me work through a potential Collins trade.. Sounds like we aren't targeting any big guys. Is the plan to play hunter at the 4?
probably Gallo and Hunter depending on match up But 100% of these trades are pure dog turds being passed on by water carriers for certain orgs. example: Shams running with Bogie to GSW. Like we’d take Oubre back for him
