Going to watch one of these tonight, I've seen them all, gf hasn't seen any of them. Which one should I pick for a nice Sunday night? Funny Games (2007 version with Tim Roth) Snatch Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Watching "A Bridge Too Far" today. Probably one of the best casts ever assembled. Sean Connery Anthony Hopkins Michael Caine Gene Hackman Robert Redford James Caan Laurence Olivier Elliot Gould
Have a friend that has seen part of Dune already. It sounds like it is going to live up to the hype. Hopefully that is accurate.
This may be a hot-take: We just watched "Charlie Wilson's War" because she hadn't seen it - still love that damn film. I'm not saying it should have won Oscars - but that's a really enjoyable film.
Seven Psychopaths is Martin McDonagh’s least acclaimed movie and it’s probably his best. In Bruges being a close second and Three Billboards being the worst. Sam Rockwell deserved his Oscar for 7P IMO. Marty: Christ, you punched him in the nose? Billy: No, his nose just happened to be in the way of where I was punching.
Watching Can’t Hardly Wait with my lady (who’s never seent it) and my god the music in this movie is a late 90s treasure
Can’t hardly wait was exactly my high school at exactly the same period of my life. I think I saw it twice in the theaters.
Came out my senior year of HS. Always hits me in the feels. My senior of HS 98-99 had arguably the greatest run of teen movies in one year: Cant Hardly Wait Varsity Blues She’s All That Cruel Intentions American Pie
BTW idk what this thread is but I’m having Sunday Truly and figured I’d use this weird thread to document my evening
Just saw that certain Regal theaters will be reopening on April 2nd, hope this means that Top Gun - Maverick will in fact come out over 4th of July weekend this year
Rent-a-Pal had so much potential, but man did they fuck it up. Sound of Metal was excellent. New of the World was exactly what you think it'll be after watching the trailer. If it looks interesting, then it's probably worth a watch. Everyone has seen Palm Springs by now, right? My queue now is: Possessor Silk Road Promising Young Woman Tenet Let Him Go Swallow
Didn't think his next one would come out until next year, this is great news. Edit: release date confirmed
What are your favorite movies that catch you in the feels. After watching Ted Lasso, I want more of the feels. Some of mine off the top of my head: Peanut Butter Falcon [Disney Sports Movie] (Placeholder for any Disney sports movie. Unfortunately, I think I've seen them all, and almost all of them are great. If there's one I hadn't I'd turn it on immediately.) The 100 Foot Journey Sing Street Family Man (old though) Wicker Park Hunt for the Wilderpeople Cobra Kai (show, but it fits) Chef Real Steel Saving Mr. Banks Trying to think of newish movies that aren't rom com or made for kids.
