seeing Roy become the villain while he stubbornly holds on will be tough to swallow, I don't ever want to get to the point where our fanbase talks about him like Noles do with Bowden
without the flu bug, 2019 had title level talent so its not completely fair but it woulda been best if he had gone out after the 2017 title. that's the perfect ending. or step away the day after the ncaa decision was handed down that next fall
Slightly different symptoms, but same illness down the road. So at least misery has company? And UNC is in much better shape going forward, whenever that is.
if it gets as bad as everyone is saying it will, does roy just say fuck it and retire? i can’t imagine him sticking around for the 2-3 year rebuild we may be looking at
mando has unfollowed unc bball and removed references to them from his twitter bio so now we wait on dayron and caleb
I always thought Kessler at UVA made the most sense, considering our history with similar players; Tobey, Huff.
not signing an agent yet but that's not a possible return statement. hope he kills it. now we turn to mando
yep go get that money big fella, think his shooting mechanics are solid enough to become a relatively decent perimeter threat adding to his obvious strengths
i think walker is misguided and dumb with why he's leaving. he will never play that perimeter role for us and roy shouldnt have sold him on that but i at least understand why he wants to leave and play like that caleb leaving would be inexplicable. not even ty or kendall were given as much freedom as freshmen as he was. he just stunk up the joint. he has nothing to complain about
i get why walker didnt want it because he has thoughts on a different role but man the shots and minutes available in the post next year have to be super enticing to mando. going to be optimistic and say he gives it one more year as THE guy.
dawson garcia makes a ton of sense when he inevitably hits the portal and would slot really well next to mando
honestly though if there is a mass exodus I have to wonder if Roy would think it's worth it to stick around and build again from the ground up, I imagine losing all of these kids would be pretty gut punching to him
bwall thinks mando's end of year meeting went well and there is reason to be optimistic. some rumblings that he is coming back which i will choose to fully believe
jinx you owe me a soda also if mando is back that is pretty big for the odds of caleb returning. ben also said he doesnt think there is anything to worry about with ant. we may save this thing yet
more whispers from the cjjones guy that (presumably) mando and caleb are leaning back towards returning. cmon boys
just lost another member of the vaunted freshman class to the portal Spoiler ray rose on the football side. not a huge surprise
so fingers crossed but we'd essentially be in the place we all expected to be with one of the big 3 posts sticking around to get the lion's share, just wouldn't be the guy we anticipated
caleb kerwin leaky/grady/transfer shooter dawson garcia mando that’s a really strong team that’s not super far fetched (especially garcia who ben keeps seemingly hunting at re: mutual interest once he inevitably enters the portal)
someone talked to caleb's dad and the impression is mando is the one that will test stretch 4, aidoo and a developmental pg like pettiford and we really got something
he was pretty high on unc iirc and walker took his spot i think walker is super talented but garcia slots much better as a stretch 4 next to mando than walker would.
well we better shoot much better next year because we won't be rebounding 40% of our misses with this next bunch
Kerwin's obvious, but RJ, Ant, and even Caleb all have the foundation to become reliable shooters imo, throw in Puff and I think we could take a big jump in that regard
