Haven't really been paying attention, but listening to the radio yesterday and it seems like we're trying to get Oz back into the 2 hole? Hopefully he sticks. Seems to always get hurt, try to play through it and have one of the worst slumps ever. Hitting behind Ron and in front of Freeman should give him ample opportunities. 5-8 could be a nightmare. TdA regression...Can Dansby finally put together a full consistent season? He shows promise then goes into an awful slump. Big Country is gonna hi 40 HRS and K 5000 times. Then a rookie hitting in front of a pitcher. Hopefully Dansby can be consistent, Riley can kept making steps forward & it would turn into a solid strength even if TdA regresses some (probably still good for a C) and Pache's up and downs.
pretty risky to have him risk getting hurt by requiring him to do something crazy like having to field his position or jog lightly
With the way this lineup is composed there’s a pretty compelling argument for Dans/Oz 7-8 and move Pache to 2. Better chance to turn the lineup over and avoid the 6 consecutive outs we saw a lot towards the end of last season. Also would be nice to see some 2-3 run Ron bombs instead of a bunch of solos. Plus Pache gets to see a ton of fastballs around the plate rather than getting nothing to hit in front of a pitcher. I know Snit won’t do it, nor would many managers. I’m just saying.
I don't understand why we'd go away from something that worked so great. Just like the DH last season, it was great. Just b/c it was a short season and we through out of the box a little bit doesn't mean was have to go back to bullshit historical roles. Ron/Fred/Bug/TdA/Oz/Bae/Country/Pache Just do it
While we are at it have we considered batting the pitcher 1st? Sometimes you gotta zig when others zag.
i was just curious if that means it is open to none tmobile/sprint people. likely not but the phrasing was weird doesnt really help most itt tho thanks to mlb's dumbass blackout restrictions
i would like to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to Paddy Murphy for my reaction to his Pache take
Max Fried leaves the game tomorrow in the middle of the 6th, up 4-1. 1 out, runner on 1st. We're like 100% that DUKE is the first one out of the pen, right? Spoiler Then gives a single, walk, then Grand Slam
last time the duke gave up a grandslam on opening day he finished the year 9-2 with a 3.84 era and 18 saves and we were one gin buckets jinx attendance away from a world series so sign me up for a repeat
he also blew 7 saves that year and someone (me) did a breakdown on all 7 of them https://tomahawktake.com/2020/07/22/atlanta-braves-breaking-luke-jacksons-blown-saves/
Think they bought out the fox sports regional stations. should have been in one of your shareholder briefings
we complain a lot about AA and liberty (rightfully) that sometimes it’s easy to forget we will get to watch a likely first ballot hall of fame level talent every day for a decade minimum. pretty #blessed
Remember when Braves management/coaches were mad Ron didn't wear his hat the right way in Spring Training? Glad that shits over and they let him be
Speaking of, what’s the plan for all my fellow cord cutters? I’m so mad that I think I’m going to go to the trouble to steal the stream of the game all season long out of spite.
