I’m not sure Ryan is the freak that Brady is that he could play into his 40’s, so with him going on 36 soon I’d say he only has 1-3 years left. Years that could be used bringing fields along to take over
if you think the GM is bad, don't you want more picks so he has a better chance of hitting one? it's been a long time since statistics class but if you assume he has a 50% chance of hitting on a pick, then having two means he has a 75% chance of one being good, right? also, it's a future first so maybe it's just another tool for a future GM who is better at drafting. i like both pitts and chase but there's no certain things in a draft and i'd always take an extra pick over 6 spots in the draft if I'm not drafting a qb.
Maybe. Id be all for taking fields and just letting Ryan go after ‘21 similar to what Baltimore did with Flacco and Lamar. I’m just saying that I don’t think the falcons will do that after restructuring Matt’s contract 2 weeks ago. I think it’s more likely they draft the best non QB available and try to make the playoffs again. Deal with next QB down the road. Rather that’s in ‘22 or ‘23.
he hasn’t drafted a pro bowler outside of Wentz since Lane Johnson (2013). I think bad GMs are less likely to make mistakes at the top of the draft (not including QBs).
You're hanging on for a wild card spot at best the next few years. There's no chance for a championship. Draft a guy and be ready in 22 and 23
Any Jamie Newman news? Their pro day was today edit Weird, maybe someone told him so stay under the radar
It's extremely hard to get a top 5 pick. Living in 10-17 range is just constant limbo and you either have to mortgage the future or pray you cna pick a mid round guy that rarely works
that’s what I’m saying they have a top 4 pick and will have fields, lance or Jones there to take unless they aren’t high on any of them
If they take Mac Jones they deserve to be the shit franchise they've always been for the rest of their existence
I assume Trask is one of those guys that is on top the best available board going into Day 3 for like 3 hours
i think the draft would be more fun if houston still had the third pick and we got to see what both NYJ and HOU do with their picks
because pitts is a Philly kid and the fanbase is not familiar with draft chart values I’m perfectly fine with the trade back, I could be very wrong but I think Miami will struggle next yr with Tua going full time and no Fitzmagic. Worth it to me to accumulate the assets needed to go for a QB if Hurts isn’t the dude and the extra 1 is huge. Plus our corners have sucked for ages and 12 seems like a great spot for one
30 miles from Coral Gables and not a single one of them went to Miami. I wonder what the record is for one high school in one draft?
I know we’ve been ass and no one cares, but Marshall is a guy that teams will really appreciate. He was a terror on the interior line all season and is a physical freakshow at his size
McShay has the Falcons taking Pitts at 4, UNC RB Williams at 35. We can just cut every player on defense with a contract over 1 year. Put every dime into the offense.
That’s pretty irrelevant. Heritage is a private school and brings in kids from all over south Florida.
Jones going third with a video clip of McElroy discussing all the on-field adversity Jones dealt with at Bama as the reason he'd take him over Fields. Lmao
Atleast you are realistic there are dolphins fans that would be livid if we didn’t get back a multiple firsts to go from 6 to 8
He never gave two shits about recruiting, such a terrible hire “If you want to play under me, then come. If not, we’ll find somebody who does” was a real solid sell for the kids
he was terrible And I feel like there was always a portion of your fanbase that defended him because he “was a cane”
I don't think it's very realistic to think the Panthers are going to trade a 3rd round pick to move up from 8 to 7. Maybe it happens, but it's very unlikely. That would be a gift.
Depends on if they fall in love with a certain QB who is available and if they believe someone like the pats are going to jump ahead
“I repeated a lot of tired racist dog whistles without the modicum of checking with sources who would know. I perpetuated racist stereotypes and got dragged. Mea culpa.”
Bateman is going to be great. He is much closer to the Chase and Smith tier than the fringe firsts like Marshall and Elijah Moore. He creates separation in his routes, which is what translates the best
I didn’t realize Mac Jones has an alcohol problem. Surprised (spoiler: I’m not) that hasn’t been talked about more.
