Those are expensive tickets for a show that is 45 minutes away. You either don't drink or stay at a hotel, which adds to the cost. One step closer to a Labor Day Bonnaroo weekend!
Thinking about it. I do want to do some travel this year but it might end up being an out of country trip On the other hand, if the lineup is sick, well see
Margo Price is playing at The Caverns on May 28th, which is 20mins from The Farm. Glad I didn't buy tickets yet. Billy Strings is my #1 act to see right now. I camp every Memorial Day Weekend 15 miles from there. May have to leave the lake to catch a show. I'm so ready
The What Podcast and their sources are saying Roo is still a go but might be 60% of the 2020 lineup. They seem to think some form of Gaga, Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Lizzo, and My Morning Jacket are the top line.
Looks like the website is updating. Tuesday entrances. More Wednesday entrances. You have to get a parking pass for a certain day and go in that day. They are trying to make the wait times less. People that rolled over tickets are getting emails about it.
Wife’s cousin dated one of the founders of bonnarroo circa 2010. he came to kc with her a few times for some family stuff. He was very cool but kind of eccentric. Always had a Polaroid camera and would randomly take pictures and give them to people and have this look like, YOU’RE WELCOME. They broke up before I could get super cool access passes.

Man, I really want to do Bonnaroo again, but the headliners never pull me in. Out of 7, I'd only care to see the Foo Fighters. Lizzo would probably be real fun, saw Tame Impala headline Lollapalooza a few years ago. I do like A LOT of the 2nd line, though.
You know I'm there. Losing Billy Strings hurts because I'm not sure I will be able to make his show on the farm in May. Otherwise, Saturday is going to be fucking killer. I'm ready to fire up Spotify and dig some new tunes. I may catch myself at a rap/hip hop show that isn't a headliner
Do you make your own playlist, or are you going to wait on somebody else to make one? I usually find one a few days after the announcement.
I usually pick an artist and listen to their Top 5 on Spotify. Sometimes I don't make it more than a minute of the first song. Then go from there. I make my own playlist closer to time of the festival sometimes. There really isn't a method to my madness on this surprisingly.
I've only done it for Lollapalooza and Rock on the Range/Sonic Temple; but there's usually a pretty good playlist to follow. I just have it on and if I hear something I like I make a note on my phone. Then when it's time to put our schedule together, I'll have some new bands to check out. Part of the excitement of festivals.
I fucking love it. And I fly solo mostly. When the schedule comes out, I will have my day mapped. But there is always flexibility because shit happens. I have no complaints on how I Roo.
Canada is way behind on their vaccinations but if I can get mine in time, I will most likely be there
I went to seven Roos in a row and haven’t made the last six held. Having it in September when the temperature is five degrees cooler on average is a big plus though. Tool being dropped is a big minus. MMJ on it is very positive. Really hurting for seeing some live music so might just have to cave in again.
It's not the avg temp so much to me. It's the shorter sunlight days that is where it's at. Although, I've fried like bacon many times in Neyland Stadium on opening weekend. Last year in June would have been the best weather Roo of all time. Better than 17.
Great lineup. Losing Oysterhead and Billy Strings sucks but I think MMJ and Goose make it a net positive. I'll be there in spirit with you guys hoping for some quality streaming options.
Tickets secured. I used the ambassador app and it let the sales go through almost an hour early for my friends but made we wait. Real weird. This will be year 10 for me I guess. Last year virtual one counts kinda maybe?
Guys, this lineup is stout. I won't even care about watching the Vols game until Monday or Tuesday. Waking up Sunday morning and killing time by reading about opening weekend of college football will be on point. Only missing maybe 3 marquee games. I love how the playlist I posted is in order just how it is on the lineup. Thanks rando from Reddit.
Shoulda drove down this weekend. He's about to do a 3 night stand at a race track here https://www.billystrings.com/tour/
