McShay's new 2 round mock has Pitts and Chase going 4/5. Has Phins going Smith at 6, Sewell dropping to 13, and us trading up 2 spots to 16 to pick Vera-Tucker. All in all a really weird mock.
You can try chomping? It will feel odd at first, but after a few attempts, you’ll be surprisingly comfortable with it.
I'm honestly at the point where I've worked myself up for Pitts or Chase so hard that I'm not sure I can handle any alternatives. And I love Smith but Pitts and Chase just seem like the can't miss freaks of this draft.
I did it once in high school when they were recruiting me on an academic scholarship. Made me feel dirty inside. Never again. send me a pitts Dolphins onesie and I’ll have the kid wear it on draft night.

Missed a key word in there. Also not a pitts onesie. They really don’t teach reading comprehension in that diploma mill you call a college.
If Pitts/Chase are gone....I’ve decided I’m on the waddle train Crabbs threw out the stat that on their last year together Waddle averaged 20YPC just on screen plays a quick slant and a cloud of dirt for an 80 yard TD is a weapon we desperately need LeonardWashington
I think I prefer Smith to Waddle. I know Waddle is crazy talented and was gonna produce some great #s this year before injury, but his relative lack of college production scares me a little. Smith was getting more targets than two 2020 first round picks on the same roster.
saw somebody give the comparison but waddle can give you the same production as smith but on like 6 less catches
If I were them I'd take Fields if San Fran doesn't. Not sure if I'd take Mac or Lance top 5 though. They badly need help on defense so I wouldn't rule our Surtain at 4.
Still have a hard time believing that Cincy would pass at Sewell at 5 despite the Chase/Burrow connection, especially after failing to address OT in FA.
I think if San Fran somehow doesn’t pick Fields then Atlanta is going to be flooded with offers to move up to #4, and get an offer they can’t refuse
I love Phillips the player and I'm glad for him wherever he goes. But it's wild to me that a few years ago he was seriously contemplating quitting football because of concussions and other injuries and now everyone seems to think he's a first round lock. Hope he goes high and gets paid, but also kinda hope it's not us.
that pro day where he shined and was more impressive than Rousseau who was supposed to be the freakier athlete of the 2 cements him in the 10-20 range imo unless those medical red flags scare enough teams away
there is definitely the red flag that the majority of Rousseau’s sacks game in 2 games and the one was against an FSU OL that was so bad dump could have started on
No argument from me. Was simply pointing out that Oweh doesn't even have the big sack numbers against shit teams. His production was UDFA level his entire college career.
I'm not too familiar with Oweh and just looked up his stats and saw he had zero (0) sacks in 7 games this year. I mean lol.
I know there is probably a few of you that listen to the The Football show podcast by the Athletic, but they did an incredible breakdown of the pass catching options yesterday. It's just two guys' opinions but they really did their homework and made a lot of sense. They also talked in general about how unrealiable first round WRs have been and there have been a lot of busts. Also talked about the value of an elite OT and the scarcity of them (simply not a lot of athletic, 315 pounders and they don't get to free agency) vs. an elite WR and honestly how easy to find they have been in later rounds. Then you look at free agency this year, there are a lot of good WR out there. They seem to think WR may be going to way of the RB where they are going to be surplus of serviceable guys and it's a position you can find quality players in the later rounds. Lot of good discussion and data cited. I am certainly fine with any of the top pass catching options, but now I am honestly totally fine with Sewell as well as after listening I think there will be a good option on the board at 18 or close to it for a trade up. Cliffs: Spoiler -They absolutely love Pitts and think he's a total freak. One of the best TEs/Pass catching prospects they'd ever seen. -They surprisingly kinda shit on Chase. Said size is not that great, relies too much on physicality with college CBs that he won't be able to do in the NFL. Said good player, just not the special guy most think he is. Said his ultimate value probably wouldn't live up to his draft position. -They absolutely loved Smith and everything he does. Seemed totally unconcerned by his size. Said he could pretty much do it all. After Pitts it seemed he was clearly their second best option. -They liked Waddle a lot, but did ding his for his size. They love what he can do in space for sure, and said he is worlds better than a Ruggs, but they just wondered about how he'd do catching balls in traffic due to his size and lack of length. Seemed to like him more than Chase but less than Smith. Said he's an electric player, but like Chase they didn't think his ultimate value would live up to a top 10 selection. -One guy that hasn't gotten quite as much discussion ITT that they absolutely gushed about was Bateman. They raved about him. Seemed to think that they think he may be the third best pass catcher in this class after Pitts and Smith. -Other guys that I can remember: seemed to be lukewarm on the other LSU receiver (Marshall I think), they shit on Toney a LOT, they liked Elijiah from Ole Miss and compared him to Brandon Cooks, but said probably a second round value. Said Rondale Moore is a solid player but wondered if he'd ever be able to stay healthy
Yes they commented on that, but said he also has very long arms to help him in traffic to make up for it. They dinged Waddle for lack of length
