It really is, covering a guy on top is not a thing. Try to score or don't. Yianni looked fantastic in teching Molinaro
Vito beats Tomasello 3-2, Vito had a shot clock point and 2 stepout points, Tomasello had a late takedown
AJ Ferrari came inches away from a match winning stepout against Macchiavello with 6 seconds left in their match, and then got a match-winning takedown....half a second after the clock expired. So close two times, rough finish, but very bright future.
Zahid didn't look great in that win. He was gassed for most of that second period. Decent showing for kid AB.
Zahid took it to Brooks early but held on for dear life in the end. Hard to see him beating DT if Brooks could wear him out with pace like that
Last and only time they wrestled was 2016 JR WTT I believe and Zahid won 2 matches to none. And that was the year Zahid lost early to the Azeri that he teched the next year. Zahid has made major leaps since then.
I shit on Flo a lot, but Flo Arena is the best way to follow these tournaments, and life without it is annoying
Iowa reporter on the Cox incident. Also read he's filing an appeal but idk if that's true. But 10-15 minutes late is way different than a minute or 2
Unlike the yianni thing I don't think an appeal has a chance. Will they want to re wrestle everything from the semis on?
Yeah, 15 minutes of extra time is actually a competitive advantage given the bye to the semifinals. Big damn difference if that's the truth
In foreign countries, a lot of kids train both freestyle and greco from a young age. In America, it's mostly Folkstyle with a little bit of freestyle, and far less Greco. The best wrestlers in America end up going into Freestyle, not Greco. What America needs is the really good but not best wrestlers, like Adam Coon and Colton Schultz, to go Greco. Off the top of my head, the guys in the last 25 years I can think of to have big success in Greco are Brandon Paulson, Matt Lindland, and Rulon Gardner. All really good D1 college wrestlers.
If there's ANY animosity between DT and Bo for what went down in 2019, I hope it takes center stage tomorrow.
I'm not gonna question GGCD but don't see that as a major upset, Bo is easily a top 10 US wrestler for me.
