That fat, dumb fuckup with his mask around his neck assuredly had symptoms and went to the game anyway.
The guy was tweeting until the day he died, a pulmonary embolus wouldn’t be surprising especially if he had just had a long car ride coming back from the tournament
Hospitalized a day after potential exposure seems unlikely, right? He probably was already brewing his infection.
it’s a joke i don’t think any trumper is going to see that meme and think “wow i’m not getting it now!”
you have plenty of people, including non-Trumpers ITT, delaying scheduling a vaccination because of perceived advantages to one shot over the other
@picasiot posting a meme on twitter isn’t going to change those people’s minds one way or the other they’ve already made their minds up
yeah no shit i would have taken any of them but we can’t act like there’s no reason that people prefer some over the others just because we want everyone to get one asap
You’re being an obtuse cunt because someone called you out for your unfunny meme. Then you decide to double down on why the J&J is not good enough. Weird stuff but not surprising coming from you.
i haven’t read this thread much in a while tbh so i had no idea anyone itt was even debating this so that’s my bad i thought most everyone on this board would be in agreement to get what you can
It’s fine. You just can’t compare those clinical trials. They were done completely differently, with different ways to measure infection (one did testing, the other just tested if symptoms) and variants circulating were different as well.
Most importantly, J&J vaccine had 95%+ (might have been 100% but I can’t remember) efficacy vs hospitalization and death. So take it if offered.
I'm not eligible until 4/15.... I'm on 5 different local pharm waitlists... I feel like Pookie in New Jack City.
Had some solid body aches and chills this morning after the J&J yesterday. Had a mild fever this evening and have just been laying in bed. Bicep fairly sore but not too bad. I had unbearable body aches after a surgery a couple years back and had a 104 fever which gave me nightmares, so this has been easy to tolerate.
Anyone else now hate the thought of The Last Dance documentary? I loved it at the time but now hate thinking about it. It just reminds me of the worst of the pandemic. No sports, no hope, gained 30 lbs. Not a period of time I wish to remember.
I was walking around this morning listening to music and a playlist started that I listened to a lot at the beginning of lockdown last year. Immediately got hit with a wave of anxiety so I think those songs are just permanently ruined for me.
HBO recently came out with a good doc on March 11th of last year and the pandemic/social justice issues, etc
Going to be getting my second dose 20 days after the first. For some reason the mass vax site's website scheduler automatically showed 2nd dose appointments 20 days out when I scheduled my 1st one, and in my haste to book an appt before they filled up I didn't even notice. Doesn't look like it's an issue from the bit of googling I did, but dumb that it was able to happen.
Seems like all cruises right now (very limited and none out of the USA) see requiring a covid vaccine. Will they withdraw that requirement when they restart US operations? Or will they keep it in hopes the Biden administration approves it sooner? If they keep the requirement, it will be interesting to see if other industries follow. I think that industry is the most logical since it’s completely shut down and at high risk and could be the key to instituting vaccine requirements for other activities/places. If they let cruises go without it, nothing else will feel any pressure to require it.
CDC is not requiring it but the one cruise line that I know of that’s restarting Alaska operations this summer will require proof of vaccination.
mine is 22 days out for now , don’t think it is a big deal as long as the gap is not longer than 40 days
CDC is not allowing cruises yet so it’s too early to tell if the CDC will require it. Some of the islands may require it and the US may require it so it’s possible that the final negotiations to open them back up with require that.
This was a big issue with Publix being fast tracked for distribution. Rich people thinking to themselves "gee everyone lives next to a Publix!"
Cruises coming back us so interesting to me. Remember early on in 2020 where countries weren't accepting cruises filled with people because one or two cases was considered really bad? Also it's also funny that people's confidence in cruises is so down but will gladly get on to a 4 hour flight. Requiring vaccine will be controversial but you alnost need it just to restore confidence more than anything
The odds of a major outbreak on a 4 hour flight are much lower than a major outbreak on a week long cruise. You have 2 different groups of people that can get the virus, pass the incubation period and then pass it on again. There is a reason that cruises have outbreaks that we don’t see in anything else. They are Petri dishes.
That's not accurate; the Conditional Sail Order applies only to ships with more than 250 passengers. American Cruise Lines has been cruising since March. They initially didn't require vaccination and did after like a week because of positive tests. Lindblad announced Alaska cruises starting in June and is requiring vaccination.
