Yes. Or get J&J and it’s a one and done thing. Also doesn’t have to be an interstate thing. Plenty of people are just going to rural areas of states to get a shot since there’s a lot more anti-vaxxers there.
A lot of states require residency to get a shot, I don’t know the numbers though. It doesn’t matter if the residents of Stockton don’t want the shots. If you are from LA, you’d still need to meet the requirements to get the shot.
But many don’t. Look I was just providing a solution to a problem. There still has to be a will to get vaccinated first.
The PR optics of pro athletes flying to states they don't live in to get vaccinated and then flying back 21 days later would be a nightmare when there are lots of people out there that want the vaccine and can't get an appointment at all.
Yeah it’s not a feasible scenario. As of April 1st only 19 states offered shots to everyone, of those 19, many have residency requirements. You can’t have NHL teams signing their players up for shots then flying them to Indiana to get shots before the residents of that state.
Even in open states people are having hard times getting appointments or having to wait for weeks to get that appointment.
I don't really see us slipping that much. We're clearly a few steps behind Colorado, but we've historically matched up well against Vegas, and the rest of the division is below average to terrible (unless the Blues pull out of their tailspin). The D core alone, combined with competent goaltending this season, should keep the Wild relatively stable. There is decent depth on the wings as well, even if there isn't much in the way of gamebreaking ability aside from Kaprizov. The center group will hold the Wild back from making any real runs in the postseason. Eriksson Ek has taken a nice step forward, but he ideally should be your number 2 center. Him being the clear top center, with your second center being some combination of Victor Rask/Nick Bjugstad/Nick Bonino is a problem. But because of that center grouping, I don't think any Wild fan really thinks they are capable of much more than maybe a 1st round win over Vegas.
The Wild may be a tier or two behind Vegas or COL, but they're safely the 3rd best team in the division
The wild scored way more goals 5v5 last year than people realized I think. Their PP kinda sucked but they’re a pretty decent offensive team, then added Kaprizov and better goaltending.
As of today, these are the teams I assume are safely in the playoffs COL VGK MIN TB CAR FLA TOR WPG EDM MON WSH NYI Should be a fairly anticlimactic finish to the regular season.
As hockey fans that have been through so much, I believe we deserve the following second round matchups COL vs VGK TOR vs EDM TB vs FLA WSH vs NYI
Awards predictions? Hart- McDavid. The guy most have 2nd-3rd basically said “lol no one’s catching McDavid.” Vezina- Vasy Norris- Hedman will win it based off points and reputation but tbh I think Either of Makar or Fox are more deserving. Rocket- Matthews. 5 goal lead with this few games left will make him hard to catch. Selke- Barkov maybe. After a year off his trajectory he looks back to being elite defensively and he’ll have the points required. Calder- Kaprizov. Robertson might have a shot as he’s been on a tear since being promoted to the first line.
I think you nailed the voters selections. Makar and Fox should be top two for the Norris, but it won’t happen.
Looks about right. Selke is always a confusing one to me, it seems like rep matters more than anything.
I might have missed the conversation, but what does everyone think of Bowman being the USA hockey GM?
NHL refs just call whatever they want. as long as they don’t get caught talking about it nobody cares.
Fox won’t win the Norris this year but he’s having the kind of year that will get him one in 2-3 years if he keeps up this pace
Glad you acknowledged it. The early whistle was brutal but the GTG should never have been a PP. as every game this year has been, extremely entertaining.
The Caps were shut out last night meaning there is only one team that has not been shut out this season. Who is it?
Saw the stat already. It's ottawa. Shutouts are random and not really indicative of how strong a team is defensively or how good a goalie is.
