I found one just called the Civil War. To date there are 35 ~30 minutes episodes about Gettysburg alone
Yo this podcast is nuts. Not sure how I missed this but he covered this https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ny...russian-hackers-saudi-chemical-plant.amp.html Tldr: a Saudi chemical plant was hacked in a way that would almost definitely killed people with if the malware was actually used
Triton, Ep68 There are technical details that I didn't understand but the storytelling was good enough that it didn't matter really
i haven't tried it yet. the Revolutions podcast is doing the Russian Revolution and they're like 50 episodes into the series and just now getting to Rasputin and 1917, so I imagine it's like that
Essentially yes. They’re halfway through the war at this point. I believe they spent ~20-30 episodes laying the foundation for the events leading up to the war and then dove in. They cover all theaters, etc. They have gotten very granular in the last year or two. I’ve paused so I can hit all the Gettysburg episodes in succession without waiting for weekly drops.
Sammy must have taken Easter Friday off because there's a new Our Thing and they're talking about Paul Castellano
Officially started listening to this pod starting with episode 1 yesterday -- it's fantastic. The VTech episode was phenomenal, and it poses some interesting questions about cyber security and laws.
The totality of the podcasts are longer than than that interview. But a lot of it is verbatim from that interview
https://smartless.simplecast.com/ Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes. Will and Jason don't know who the guest is for the show until Sean Hayes introduces them. It's basically Arnett and Bateman roasting each other and then the guest comes on. Pretty funny. I listened to the Steven Colbert and George Clooney episode and got some good laughs.
Seems like a good rec. List of guests from their episodes are basically all people I know of so that's a good start. Just followed on Spotify.
Apparently all the forensic files episode have made me numb to that stuff... still pretty sad Wild story. The part about the probation officer not approving suboxone kinda cracked me up. The guy clearly had an addiction and the narrator seemed naive to that. The probation officer was probably a huge dick, but that guy did everything an untrustworthy junkie would do.
He took klonopin for anxiety and smoked pot... I remember hearing that, but I could've missed something else My only gripe was how the narrator phrased it. Like he took sides against the probation officer for not granting suboxone approval
for anyone who cares about some context on "CliffyB": he is Cliff Blezinksi, one of the best game developers ever. also one of the biggest nerds on the planet i had this magazine at some point. he is on the far right:
If you didn't listen to the episode, he had a folder on his work computer called "Lambo tunes" filled with music that he listened to in his Lamborghini
Funny to see discussion on Cliff here - he's a Raleigh legend at this point. He likes to park his Lambo on the street in Raleigh's nightlife district (which naturally draws a lot of attention). For those of you who've been, he owns the Raleigh and Charlotte Beer Gardens. Each location has like 600 beers on tap.
Dark Air with Terry Carnation isn’t great. Not sure what I expected, but not quite this. Probably means Radio Rental isn’t coming back, at least with Rainn Wilson. I was hoping dark air would be radio rental stories framed in more Terry Carnation character development.
