Cole: 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 13 SO/0 BB on 97 pitches with 71 strikes Kershaw Giolito and Darvish all pitching in the late slate of games Glasnow: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 8 SO/1 BB with TB leading 2-1 at Fenway to T6
Draft kings had a promo stroman +200 on the over. Line .5 k. That was a free $50, thanks. Also Phil’s bullpen made their debut tonight.
Lowrie has a double so great for him but kinda funny the A's are 0-5 and their plan to crawl outta that hole includes batting Lowrie 2nd
JD Martinez got doubled off 2nd to end the 8th in a game TB leads 3-2 because he didn't seem to know how many outs there were. Yikes
Vazquez leads off B9 with a solo shot over the monster off Castillo to tie it 3-3. Going to extras at Fenway Dodgers teeing off on Bassitt, who was lights out at home last year
His cutter looked awesome too. Hopefully he’s not sidelined for too long, but it looked like he tweaked his back. I’m sure that will continue to nag
The White Sox now being on both ends of a dropped third strike causing a run in three days is why baseball is the best. They were the beneficiary on Sunday when the angels became a little league team, but Collins just botched a Giolito K that allowed a run for the Mariners. Collins has no business catching in the majors.
Feel bad for Vaughn as well he has to learn on the fly out there. Also Giolitio probably not pitching much longer tonight after this inning.
I think Vaughn will be okay-ish in left. He’s mobile and seems to track the ball well. It helps that Robert already covers much of left field anyways. He’s well practiced running over there so he could fuck with Eloy on fly outs... I’m much more interested to see how Vaughn looks at the plate. I know he raked in spring training but it’ll be interesting how he fares during the season (he literally hit an oppo field double as I typed this). Giolitos stuff is so good now, but I still think he’s susceptible to the big inning. He seems to have a tendency to spiral when things go wrong. He’s pretty cerebral, so I wonder if he starts to overthink when he has struggles.
JD Martinez with a 2-run walkoff hit in B12 to give the Sox a 6-5 W over TB. Arozarena with some poor D in RF on that
Damn that was a nice play by Soto edit: although it ended up not really mattering because of the passed ball the next pitch.
Trea keeps this up for another decade and Braves fans will start to know how I feel about Freddie Freeman
Red Sox and Rays on a YouTube broadcast and it's funny how they have a much better presentation than this Bally crap
