It’s been around forever. I remember using it back in 2017 and it felt pretty sketchy. Haven’t used it since
this bothers me. It’s like well, it’s possible coins go up sometimes and I have no idea so this sounds like a good investment to buy all kinds of them! Like why buy them at all?
I use gate.io, I like it. Pretty extensive identification requirements on your initial set up, but after that it is smooth sailing. I like the desktop look better than the app, but so far I'm happy with the exchange. Signed up at the beginning of the year.
Friday shows are a must watch/listen w josh. Love the Tuesday up only shows. Just watched the tetranode one last night and now I’m realizing I still don’t own enough eth
Yea you could have over 100,000 BAO for one Filecoin and put your trust in Bluntz And I’m joking. There is zero reason BAO should be jumping right now.
He means all the arguments that each side use are based on past performance and past performance has nothing to do with future performance when it comes to investing. So you shouldn’t be backwards facing when trying to argue with someone about why ETH is better than BTC or why BTC is better than ETH. You need to explain why over the next five years one will perform better than the other.
Pitting ETH vs BTC seems so weird and dumb. Its like someone trying to build an argument that Gold is unequivocally "better" than silver. Just why. Different uses, let them both appreciate who cares. Its not like every ETH bought somehow diminishes a BTC. Rising tide raises all ships etc.
Lions don’t lose sleep over the opinion of sheep. Eth being sounder money than btc is funny though. I’ll be the angry bag holder with the asset that public companies and billionaires are making hundreds of millions of dollar allocations to.
I'm pretty sure that's exactly how a lot of people think of it. Crypto stans are on par with Ariana Grande fans.
I've used gate.io to buy alt coins, mainly CFX lately. I've never had an issue but haven't ever put more than like $500 in crypto on there at once.
The narrative for eth has changed so much just in the 4 years I’ve been involved that it’s hard to track: global smart computer, ICOs, defi, global decentralized internet, money, etc. I kinda thought we were past the point of eth still pretending to be a money or store of value asset. Guess not. Side note: the btc dominance numbers that people casually throw around on Twitter are pretty worthless. Compare apples to apples: https://bitcoindominance.com/
And there’s been a billion new coins created in the last 7 years. The metric is really kinda silly at this point.
To be fair the narrative for btc has changed too. It didn’t start out as gold 2.0 This isn't true. There are companies and billionaires buying eth and it's disappearing off exchanges just as fast as BTC
Name them and list the equivalent of what’s shown here for companies: https://bitcointreasuries.org/. Paul Tudor Jones didn’t write an eth investment thesis. Peter Thiel didn’t describe himself as an eth maxi. Michael Saylor didn’t personally buy $175m of eth. The Norwegian billionaire didn’t start an eth mining company. The other Norwegian billionaire didn’t buy eth. The Mexican billionaire didn’t buy eth. Musk and Tesla didn’t buy $1.5B of eth. Soros CIO isn’t talking about his eth position. Morgan Stanley and Goldman aren’t offering eth exposure to their high net worth clients. I’ve honestly lost track of the billionaire count, but you get the idea. The institutional involvement isn’t remotely the same (another link: https://casebitcoin.com/money-manager-views). Also last I knew, the ETH community couldn’t even audit its own supply as to how many were in circulation. Where’s the data about eth moving to the equivalent of long term holder addresses? Not saying it doesn’t exist, but I’m more in the camp of “they’re not remotely trying to do the same thing” so eth moving off exchanges is kind of irrelevant to my world view.
I think you’re maybe in the wrong thread. “No one cares” about crypto in the crypto thread is a pretty fucking stupid position. Go away.
