Not large mountains but crossing from NE OK to NW Arkansas is known as the Fayetteville fizzle because a lot of storms historically weaken as the cross into that NW Arkansas area into the Boston Mountains.

I was wondering the same. My kid has a 9:00 a.m. baseball game in Avondale Park but I guess I'll have to stay up and make sure all the trees don't fall over on my house.
Seeing the initial tweet on March 20th made me think of the post I made below back on March 14th. Wish I would have saved the images, as it looks like the April 2011 MJO chart is gone and the forecast CFS forcing maps have updated to the most recent run of the model. Still think the overall message looks to be on track, though.
