its about time Captain America truly represents what America is team Zemo team Thanos team Killmonger
What did the Dora Milaje say to Bucky as they were leaving. Tried to rewind 10 times and still couldn’t catch it. But damn what an episode.
If old man Steve shows up and kicks that pricks teeth in and takes back the shied I will probably ejaculate.
the MCU once they hear about what John Walker the audiences reaction when John Walker’s ass gets kicked
Really feel like we get Old Man Steve next week. Maybe not a big scene but something. Best directed episode so far Final 20 minutes was a tour de force
I can't be the only one who thought of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe as Zemo offered the children Turkish Delight.
Felt like the whole episode was built around the theme of temptation. As a matter of fact, I would say each episode of the show thus far---despite how serialized it's been---has had a strong theme to define it. Episode one is about legacy (which Sam and Bucky both struggle with, regarding Steve and filling his shoes). Episode two is about identity (with John Walker struggling to mark his own path as the new Cap, while Sam learns about Isaiah Bradley). Episode three is about compromise (the heroes break Zemo out; Sharon is def in a world of grey in Madripoor). Episode four is all about temptation: with the Serum playing the part of the forbidden fruit that ultimately leads to Walker being expelled from paradise and taking a life Not bad for a show that's essentially one big movie chopped into six parts.
I was surprised to find out that Wyatt Russell was born before the movie Tombstone was released. Was Kurt Russell that big a Wyatt Earp fan before he was in Tombstone?
That episode was awesome. I have no clue how this ends or who the villain will end up being, but that was intense. Only thing I didn't like is when Sam and Bucky started kind of fighting the Dora Milaje. I didn't really understand why they got involved, but mainly I really wanted to see the Dora Milaje continue to beat the shit out of faux Cap.
They seemed only to want to keep anyone from dying. The DM weren't messing around. This spears were going for the heart.
He’s 100% the Barco of the MCU, big hype, big promises, big price tag, no results.we’re just waiting till he disappointedly moves on...
Are we at the point where Sharon being the Power Broker feels too obvious and is a misdirect? Because it seems like they want us to think she is right now.
As soon as I saw the episode title was "The Whole World Is Watching" I thought "oh shit, this is gonna be bad" (something bad happening, not bad episode)
Most were thinking of the deeper biblical allegory of Satan tempting Eve with an apple in the garden of Eden. As for those kids being able to play in a safe space with their friends was Paradise.
I like how marvel creates villains that while you may root against the you don’t hate. Except the new cap...hate that guy.
They’re very good at the lawful evil characters. So much more interesting than all powerful chaotic evil.
Side conversation: the reason Steve got old is because he would have essentially lived two lifetimes, right? He’d have lived the 70 years or whatever until he went back in time, and then lived the entire lifetime with Peggy. I really thought we were going to get a Steve funeral in this series...but maybe he has a role to serve before that.
I have some issues with pacing and show vs tell overall but I like the series. I think some of that is the experimentation with these types of series vs movies. I still want to see a Zemo spinoff series though.
I don’t really know. I wasn’t really a fan of old cap, I thought he should look more mid 50s-ish instead of mid 80s-ish. Clearly older but clearly a lot younger and more fit than what a non serum user would be. But then Isaiah looked old and he didn’t age twice. He could probably still bench press a tank though.
I haven’t rewatched the Isaiah episode but I think he looked younger than old Steve. Old Steve was definitely more high 70s/80s and Isaiah could pass for mid 60s
The line about the serum further emphasizing a person’s self was really good. Walker discussing things they had to do in Afghanistan not being considered “good” to earn valor and honor, leading to him killing someone he sees as a terrorist after said terrorist killed the best man he knew. All incredibly on-point, even for a character it’s easy to hate.
