My youngest (9) loves that movie. Probably his favorite. He was flipping around and saw “Luis” in CHiPs and asked to watch. I let him watch for all of 40 seconds before realizing my mistake.
“Where is Scott Lang?” “That’s what I’m trying to tell you, he’s in a tricky place emotionally speaking.” “WHERE IS SCOTT LANG? LITERALLY SPEAKING.”
Making me use my brain. Luis, Darcy, Woo, Korg, Meik, Peggy, Sharon, Yondu, Wong, Okoye, Hank, Lady Sif, Shuri, Rhoadie, Valkyrie,
The amount of excellent content they are churning out is just incredible. That whole crew just thinks two steps ahead of everyone else. This was all built on the success of IW/Endgame and they’re just gonna keep it rolling.
Biggest thing Falcon and Winter Soldier revealed to me was Bucky was the OG MCU nerd. Dude took Steve to the Stark Expo, which was basically the Comic-Con of its day, is an OG Tolkein fan and read The Hobbit on release and apparently also knows a bunch of art history of real/fake paintings? Truly a man ahead of his time.
Makes it all the more tragic that he was turned into a brain-washed assassin. He was too pure. Too good.
He was every much as good of a candidate for original Cap as Steve had Erskine looked a bit harder. Knew the value of compassion and looking out for the little guy w/o ever needing to experience being weak and beaten up on a constant basis like Steve did. Probably why he immediately saw through Walker's bullshit, he 100% knew John Walker would have been the type of person who would have bullied pre-serum Steve in real life or in basic training given the chance.
The first half of this week's episode just affirms that Thanos was right and did nothing wrong. End Game is plummeting to worst movie of the MCU.
Thanos was an idiot. He could've easily wished for enough resources to feed the galaxy for 10,000 years and instead he chose genocide. His comic book reasoning for the snap (He was a Simp) was better than the movie imo
People are entitled to their opinions, but it's weird that anyone would single out Winter Soldier as an MCU movie with over the top cheesy humor/dialogue. That movie has to be bottom third of the MCU in terms of that kind of thing, at least IMO. You almost have to hate any movie involving Iron Man/Stark if that's your take on WS.
I don't know who the guy is but he seems to have been instructed to watch the movie, which makes me thinks he's not a fan of the cinematic universe and it just watching as a standalone.
It’s amazing when doing a chronological watch you go from the lows of Thor 2 IM 3 to the greatness of Civil War GOTG such a major swing. Also on the rewatch Thor 2 seems somehow worse than IM3 but both suck
