She’s done. She had the chance to go up the double break and then missed that net point when she would have held and still been up a break. Just couldn’t get it done
Sinner comes from a set down and a break down in the third to beat RBA and get into his first career Masters 1000 Final. First teenager to make the Miami Final since some guy named Djokovic.
Early break for Barty. Bibi’s had such a weird struggle this week on what to do with short volleys and overheads up at the net
Rolled her ankle midway through the 2nd pretty badly, got it taped with the physio and tried to give it a go, but was clearly struggling. Ended up pulling the plug.
Lauren Davis beats Kenin in Charleston. She has really just lost the plot. Couple of fun all-American matchups tonight in Madi-Sloane and Rogers-Anisimova.
Watched 90% of it. Not sure if it's real or an excuse but Kenin did have a medical timeout to work on her back and he leg was all wrapped up. Not sure if it's her head or body but she did look like shit.
I just hope what they’re doing won’t disrupt grass. Grass and Wimbledon specifically, just has such a short window with the climate in the UK. If you’re going to start pushing dates just throw them back like last year. Pretty obvious that a week to fix Rona is more a cry for help or a plea of insanity.
A couple of the smaller grass tournaments are going to get screwed, I’m afraid. Schedule is already condensed, especially with the Olympics on the docket this year. I’m with you, one week is impossible to make a noticeable difference. And the situation in France is not great to begin with.
Anyone have any ideas as to why tennis channel is showing 2019 final and not live tennis? It’s annoying. Edit it’s pouring there.
Karatsev with a really nice win over Musetti in wet and rainy conditions. He's come out of nowhere but he's legit.
I think it's madness, but typically selfish of Roland Garros TBH. Didn't they do the exact same thing last year and reschedule the French just 3 weeks after the US? Seriously, if I was an average claycourter but half decent on grass, I'd be extending a big ol' middle finger to Paris & skipping it for extra practice on grass. They're just being completely stupid here.
With the incubation period after an exposure being so long, I guess you just have to let him play and hope the testing protocol catches anything if it pops up. Tough deal.
He’ll learn from this one. You can’t try and outhit Novak because he’s better than you at it, and it gets you into errors.
Totally forgot about him until I looked last night. Did not expect him to beat Diego, slept through the match.
Also today. FAA comes back from a set down and beats Musetti bageling him in the 3rd. We get a Shapo/FAA matchup
