My youngest son loves searching for music and he constantly sending me this guys remixes (looks like he’s always using the same artist). Some of the shit is actually some bangers.
apparently not what i read was a little after someone ran with an ig post but now some sites are saying he’s still on life support
By this time last year we had: Circles, Unlocked, A Written Testimony, Pray 4 Paris, Boldy and Alc, The allegory, Conway and Alc. and that’s not to mention underground efforts from J- Hus, Planet Asia, RAP Ferreira, Quelle Chris. Or mainstream releases from Uzi, Eminem, Pop Smoke, Polo G, Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas, DaBaby. This year- Conway and Benny?
I've thought about this too. '20 was a shitty year but man it created a breeding ground for good music.
Shit I even forgot Mick Jenkins The Circus which was incredible. last year really invigorated this thread as well. Seemed like every other month we (I) had a new AOTY
Seeing them age gets to me. Thinking how old members from the Wu look and puffy faced NaS makes me sit back. But when dudes pass away.....it’s rough and it’s very reflective moment.
Couple warm takes here on this slightly sloshed Saturday with me and my pup on the back porch listening to music: Fishscale is Ghosts second best album and R.A.G.U is Rae and ghosts best song
don't disagree. R.A.G.U. has been my favorite track on Fishscale at the minimum since the jump. Pretty crazy crew on the boards for that one with Pete Rock, DOOM, Just Blaze, Dilla, etc
That’s the point of saying it’s a warm take. I think it’s better than any song on Purple Tape sans maybe Verbal Intercourse and that song is as much about Nas as it is Rae and Ghost
Fish, Camay and Daytona 500 is an elite run and then Guillotine, Glaciers of Ice and Verbal Intercourse......RAGU belongs in the discussion but maaaaaan that’s a tough warm take.
