The OH6, 7, and 13 are all eastern Ohio and the border area of PA and the WV panhandle. All three were top 10 in shift in 2016 as well. The OH6 has been the most partisan shift in the country in 2016 and 2020. It’s going to get merged into Tim Ryan’s district when Ohio loses a seat for 2022 to get rid of Ryan.

a swim/gym teacher/pedophile at my high school had girls try on the swim team bathing suits in his office and he had a private camera set up. When we did swim gym as freshman or sophomores, he was the teacher for it and played a game called shark where everyone swims away from him the “shark” and he also managed to “attack” the 2 hottest girls in the class. I told my mom and mentioned it to a few others how inappropriate that game felt. Nothing happened until some girl trying on the bathing suit in his office found the hidden camera and the police were called. Searched his computer and found the videos. Is a potential pedophile coach doing this “genital check”? Are people forced to go see a doctor? Who pays for that? Even if a coach/teacher isn’t the one checking, do we honestly think that a pedophile coach/teacher wouldn’t abuse their position of power and tell someone that they need to check or they will be kicked off the team until they get a medical exam? I don’t like what this bill does but I have a much bigger problem with a forced genital exam than any other aspect of the bill. I guess this should be expected from the party of pedophiles though.
Wait. I haven't read the bill and honestly don't want to. Is there anything stopping a parent of a less talented kid from accusing a talented female player of being a male and then that talented player can't play until they prove they are a female? And if they don't have the financial resources to do that, they just can't play? Does the accuser have to have some type of proof before accusing someone or can it just be "Theu are too good!"?
what about single athlete sports? There was a girl a year younger than me at my HS. Incredible swimmer. Made the Olympic trials a year or 2 into college. Smaller classification private/smalll public school level. She won’t states all 4 years in two events and multiple other titles in other years. Let’s say her junior year, everyone knows she will win. What stops the people competing for second from challenging this? They don’t cancel the meet. So is she automatically disqualified and whoever demanded that she be tested in bad faith gets rewarded. I’m sure this will be challenged and never implemented but this bill is just absolutely insane.
What type of “proof” would they have? I haven’t seen anything that says there is any burden of proof at all. Not just people who can’t afford it. People can be challenged the day of a meet/game and my understanding is they just can’t play because there is no way they can “prove it” in time.
Something like "She competed as a male last month" or something like that. No way this holds up in court. This is insane. It's 100% going to disproportionately affect young black girls.
I have a hard time imagining any scenario where mandatory "genital inspections" of children would be reasonable, but high school sports definitely ain't it.
There will, of course, be no majority white schools who use this against majority black schools to gain a competitive edge

Trying to recall off the top of my head so could be wrong...The Cuban-American (and Puerto Rican?) votes in South Florida were the ones that overwhelmingly crushed Dem hopes last year. Wouldn't these policies that unfairly suppress non-white votes actually work against the GOP in Florida if that's the case? I may be oversimplifying but this isn't Georgia.

From 1980-2000, the Steubenville-Weirton metro area lost a higher percentage of its population than any US Census designated area in the country. I can’t imagine that Youngstown-Warren just north of it is much farther behind. From 2010-19, USA Today estimated Steubenville at 6th most rapid decline, but actual census numbers aren’t available. Basically, there was a collapse from 80-00 and a mostly elderly population was left. There is a smaller decline now, but still significant, because the remainder is dying.

My point is more about making it harder for non-whites to vote is ultimately what these signature laws do. So I'm not saying they will turn Dem...I'm wondering if more GOP votes are threatened to be thrown out because of this crap.
