Up in Plano we have them all over. Neighbor stopped me the other day to show me photos he had of one walking out from under my truck. He saw it while walking the dog. NextDoor is great. I need to find the photos of the one on someone’s roof the other day.

I feel for kids who will never understand the excitement of going to the video store on a Friday after you got picked up from school.
Blockbuster introduced a Game Pass where you could rent games for however long, and keep trading them in. I'd rent a game, beat it for all the achievements, then go get something else; rinse and repeat.
My parents are divorced and when it was my dad’s weekend, he would pick us up Friday evening then take us to Phar-Mor and they rented Nintendo games (Original NES) and man that was always just the most exciting feeling
Almost every Friday on the way home from school we stopped at Blockbuster. I got to pick out a movie and my sisters picked one. We’d grab Pizza Hut and watch both movies.
I'm sure the fuckups that led to Blockbuster's downfall (partnering with Enron for a failed streaming service, not buying Netflix for $50 million in 1999, general arrogance, etc) will be studied by every business school until the earth goes kaput.
My password to be able to rent games on my parents blockbuster account was michaeljordan23. I had to actually speak this password to a store clerk in order to use the account without them.
