this is where I’m at. Like he’s obviously got some talent boxing. But I want to see him actually fight someone who is competent. But that won’t happen because when he loses it will take the shine off.
He’d get destroyed. But I love that he’s disrupting previous boxing organization because it certainly needed a reset.
The funny thing is he used to be the biggest Askren fan boy. He thought he would dominate UFC bc he was a great wrestler. He thought Askren would dominate Khabib, who is a top 5 fighter all time. It took him some time but he came around that Askren sucks at anything more than wrestling and he hasn't been great at that in a while.
Speaking of, Michael Woods reporting the Paul card did at least 1.45 million PPV buys at $50 a pop and could trend higher as they tally everything.
Floyd weighs 40 lbs less, so it’s not a legit fight. Weight classes exist for a reason. This is a farce. Floyd is going to run from him and wear his ass out, but Paul will claim he was scared. The ppv buyers will be the real losers.
ESPN and ESPN+, 10:00 pm ET, Emanuel Navarrete vs Christopher Diaz, Edgar Berlanga vs Demond Nicholson. Navarrete defends his WBO featherweight title against Diaz, whose losses have come to Masayuki Ito in a 130 lb title fight, and to Shakur Stevenson when Diaz moved down to 126 looking for a new spark. Diaz is a decent fighter, but this isn’t the most incredible world title matchup by any means. Berlanga looks to keep his first round KO streak running — or not, at some point it’s going to be more beneficial long term to actually get some rounds in. Nicholson is a veteran who’s been around but is plenty hurt-able and has been stopped twice. Odds would seem decent Berlanga extends the run.
As long he gets out of this intact, this fight will be a huge positive for Berlanga. Nicholson is tough as shit.
