I like it off centered. Get a taller plant to put in the vase next to it and it will center the visual weight more
Shitty weather killed most of Friday's showings and today's haven't started yet. BUT the first offer just came back unsolicited with more money and a leaseback so I'm gonna count it as two
On a lot of pool jobs, you are looking at $300-$2000 in repairs if you can not heat a fitting out. Suction/return manifolds plumbed fitting on valve on fitting on valve with no spare pvc available. So yeah, $1 fitting. But what it is attached to and everything it is attached to can go up substantially. Case in point, 2 valves on this were cracked during the freeze. Ain’t no repair available unless you can heat and peal out or you are rebuilding the whole thing.
I think you missed the point of what I was saying. In some cases, it is not just about the fitting. The fitting is the first in a chain of things that all have to be replaced to replace just one. So it would not be “wait for the right new fitting,” but rather “replace everything because one thing can not be replaced.”
Off centered tv is very Wabi Sabi. “In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi (侘寂) is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature.”
Random knowledge. I’ve never been to Japan but I have an innate affinity and deep respect for their culture. Plan on visiting for my 40th birthday. Have you been?
Wabi Sabi sounds more like: got drunk doing home improvements, things ended up off center, but I said fuck it I'm artistic.
There is a whole book called Ikigai that is really interesting about Japanese life and things like wabi sabi if you’re interested. Okinawa is one of only five green zones in the world that has a higher life expectancy. It’s a pretty fascinating book.
team asymmetry is good also buying a smart thermostat to install, have stranded wires, going to be an adventure it seems
i do not and don't really want to go through all that trouble would probably just send the thing back if I can't get it to work, supposedly it'll be fine you just have to twist and straighten the strands to get good contact
I have made the choice to leave the TV where it is. Please respect my decision and no interview requests at this time.
Have a 4yd rolloff getting delivered today so I can demo concrete on Saturday to start working on my patio. There is Advil in my future....
My thought as well. Either the TV wasn’t centered on the wall or he installed the fireplace off center. Neither make a whole lot of sense to me.
I had to move the fireplace a little more off center than I wanted due to cable jack and power jack interfering with the mount. Was going to move the tv centered but now leaving.
https://diyhomeownerhero.com/raise-...do you raise, ground and leveling the driveway. Anyone have any experience using foam to lift patio slabs?
I can’t remember where that last video of a tree falling on house went but this seems as good a place as any
