so what you’re saying he’s going to lead the NFL in sacks allowed, and penalty yard this upcoming season?
The Cowboys only got a third to drop two slots with a rival. My guess is trades are going to be hard to come by tonight.
That Campbell in the middle getting ignored? Because at one point he realizes that it is high five Sheila or stand there awkwardly and he went with stand there awkwardly.
dont like this, but i cant envision the bears having a good QB. still can't believe Fields fell this far.
We have been in a division with Favre and Rodgers for like 85% of my life. I’m not going to lose sleep over Fields.
Been watching on ESPN most of the night on mute. Just went back and watched our pick on NFLN. They talked about it for like 20 seconds and went to commercial. It's incredible how irrelevant we are nationally every year.
It's good to have a front office that will take a chance on Elite upside again. Quinn would have taken Slater with that pick
I'm not advocating for us to do this, but I think it's more likely we trade LAR's first next year for a 2 tomorrow night than trade back up to pick again tonight.
Dream scenarios of guys who aren't gone yet (for me, at least) are Elijah Moore, Jamin Davis and Rashod Bateman. I think all three of those guys go tonight, though.
yeah, I had no hope there he was going to last. Moore probably goes in the next few picks, too. Bateman is maybe a 25% chance, but still probably goes tonight or within the first few picks tomorrow.
I don't even know what I like. LB, edge DT and WR all in play. Going offense, offense would be bold with all the defensive needs, but whatever.
Holmes still hasn’t met with the media, so I assume that means he is at least monitoring the trade market.
I agree. We probably need to find some defensive guys early tomorrow, but at the same time I think WR might be more important. It doesn't do us much good to go into next year seeing if Goff can be the guy if he's throwing to the worst WR group in the league and has no chance of doing anything.
One other thing I think is worth noting going forward this weekend following the Sewell pick is that closes the book on how they'll view guys who sat out this season. If they love Sewell that much, I have to think they won't hesitate for any of the other guys who sat out.
I wonder sometimes how the performance of past picks influences future picks. If Simmons was better for Arizona last year, I bet JOK would have been off the board an hour ago. Simmons wasn't good, and I bet that hurts someone like JOK.
BPA by position going into day 2... QB - Kellen Mond, Davis Mills, Kyle Trask RB - Javonte Willliams, Michael Carter, Kenneth Gainwell WR - Elijah Moore, Terrace Marshall, Dyami Brown, Nico Collins, Tylan Wallace, Amari Rodgers, Rondale Moore, D'Wayne Eskridge, Tutu Atwell, Cade Johnson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Shi Smith TE - Pat Freiermuth, Tommy Tremble, Hunter Long, Brevin Jordan OT - Teven Jenkins, Liam Eichenburg, Dillon Radunz, Sam Cosmi, Spencer Brown, Walker Little, Jalen Mayfield iOL - Landon Dickerson, Creed Humphrey, Wyatt Davis, Quinn Meinerz, Jackson Carman, Aaron Banks DT - Christian Barmore, Levi Onwuzurike, Milton Williams, Daviyon Nixon, Jay Tufele, Alim McNeil, Osa Odighizuwa, Marlon Tuipolotu EDGE - Azeez Ojulari, Carlos Basham, Ronnie Perkins, Joseph Ossai, Chris Rumpf, Dayo Odeyingbo, Patrick Jones, Quincy Roche, Elerson Smith, Jordan Smith LB - Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Nick Bolton, Baron Browning, Chazz Surratt, Jabril Cox, Pete Werner, Monty Rice, Dylan Moses, CB - Asante Samuel, Tyson Campbell, Kelvin Joseph, Elijah Molden, Ifeatu Melifonwu, Aaron Robinson, Robert Rochelle, Paulson Adebo, Benjamin St. Juste S - Trevon Moehrig, Javon Holland, Richie Grant, Jamar Jackson, Andre Cisco, Divine Deablo, Hamsah Nasirildeen
That's not necessarily in any order. We pick 9th tomorrow. If we don't trade back, my top 9 would be a group of... Elijah Moore Terrace Marshall (has some off field and injury questions) Christian Barmore Azeez Ojulari Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Nick Bolton Trevon Moehrig Javon Holland Milton Williams In an ideal world, we see a OL run in the first 8 that pushes some other guys down, or creates some panic from teams drafting below us to come up and get a OL before they're gone.
E Moore, Barmore, any of the top four edge, JOK, Samuel, Moehrig, or Holland would be pretty nice at 41. Still would prefer to trade back
For me, JOK, Ojulari, Moore, Barmore and Marshall are on a separate tier in terms of talent from the others. Some of the internet gurus would put Moehrig in there, too. Marshall and Barmore both have some off field stuff where I can understand a new regime not wanting to go there (don't think it's anything major, but Marshall basically quit this year and Barmore just seems like an emotional dude and rode the roller coaster a bit at Bama). If we could get any of those guys, I don't really want to trade back because I think there's a drop off at those positions after those players, and we need talent so badly. I love Holland, though, and if we could move back a bit and still land him that would be awesome. Our safeties suck so bad.
