Yeah, thing is, you can't really rate Frost as a bad hire. It was the ONLY hire, but even still it wasn't easy for Moos to pull off. Moos is a bit of a clod, but he's certainly more worthy of keeping his job than is Corch Scoot.
Need to mount Larry Philips' corpse in the Ndomukong Suh Weight Lifting Facility to both inspire our fatbacks and to intimidate Corch Scoot
Every Wednesday I walk around the office like this camel. Someone asked me today why I do it. I didn’t know if I should feel bad for them or me.
While disappointed in the corpulence of our RB room, if one or two of those guys somehow ended being awesome RBs AND being fat, that would obviously be ideal. Porky lil' skill position players make the game great

I texted a few people this yesterday. I’m not mad at Moos. Yes, he talks too much, but he did EXACTLY what everybody wanted. He got Scott Frost (the guy everybody in the country wanted) & now the money (with a pandemic happening too!) for a huge new training facility. He got the basketball coach everybody wanted and EASILY the best coach a program with ZERO history could obtain. Results on court haven’t been there .... yet. The recruiting is obviously at an all-time high and this will be known within 2 years if it’s a good-great hire. But it’s still the one we wanted. Bolt wasn’t the first choice, but fuck ... so far it appears to be the best one and it’s given us a glimmer of fucking hope for a men’s sport. 99.9% believe the Oklahoma shit and Frost not producing means you get a fight or flight type of response from old Moos. His thinking, ‘I have legit did everything you fuckers wanted and because this jackass hasn’t produced and tried to pull some shit with the Oklahoma series I’m going to be the one that goes?? Well fuck that, he can go too or I’m going to fight for your view of me. I did nothing wrong here outside of a bit too many drinks and a weird answer or two.’ I also wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Fred and Bolt are hoping for 8-9 wins and nothing more because they want all the support they can get while JUST enough to keep the idiots packing the stadium and dropping the money while taking the direct pressure off them. Turn it around and become kings and let the football politics play out like the dipshittery it is.
I’m not super concerned about the RB’s weight or anybody for that matter. Almost every player cuts weight over the summer and through fall camp. If that is their weight come end of August, then I’ll be concerned.
Stepp is listed at 235lbs and also missed most of the last two years (plus this spring) with injuries so not surprised they say that about him. From the little video I’ve seen Yant is definitely a big dude, but he still looked somewhat fast and athletic. We need some guys who can get yards after contact and not be afraid to take on a defender. I’m not terribly concerned about either of them.
Maybe the fact 30% of our roster is injured, and people are fat is related. Aka they aren’t in football shape because they don’t care. Just my thought.
I’m not saying they aren’t overweight, I was simply stating that summer workouts and fall camp are for trimming down. Christ, when I was in high school I came in to every summer workouts overweight, by the time we played our first game in the fall I was at the playing weight my coaches wanted.
Sure. I'm a lil more concerned about what it potentially reflects. RBs gettin fat over the offseason ain't exactly a great indicator of how dialed in they are
thinking the weight habits of a high school athlete should be reflective of a B1G school is wild. when I was in high school we would lose Weight during the season so we had to eat and lift accordingly. Talk to a college or pro nutritionist and they aren’t gonna tell you “yeah being fat heading into camp is great so we can get them in shape by the time games come around!” Just no, not how it works. If you are wasting time getting in shape you have less time to practice executing at a high level. Look at pics of OSU or Bama heading into camp. They aint portly at the skill positions.
This might be peak Dean imo. He doesn’t just operate a rivals website, he’s literally a rivals mainboard level poster doing flight tracking for the Kansas head coaching job. The man is an absolute treasure. He’s in true final form now.
Lmbo big mad energy from the athletic department over people correctly pointing out that this isn’t how break ground on new construction.
Yes. We went there in the early college days. Perfect mix of drunk college kids and truckers eating chicken fried steak at 3 am. I see they tore down the original and built a new one across the street.
The new renderings look completely different than the original. Not a bad thing just caught me off guard.
