I'm down about 28 lbs from 193-165. It is probably more than I moved in with my fiance the day we got the bike and I eat way healthier now to go with actually exercising again. Oh and I go to bed at like 9pm instead of like 1am.
They're nothing too exciting. Just like being able to jump on and tune out for how ever long for an easy zone 2 ride
I don't know what a strava is but I've posted my name here. Friends with a few folks. Like I'm basically always working out the same time as 9ers but I have long since learned to not compare our numbers.
Sorry for all the questions, but I know you are a runner too, with an Apple Watch if I remember correctly. How do the calories burned on a typical Peloton ride compare to calories burned on a typical run?
running out doors burns way more calories. I think typical out 45 minutes I burn over 1000 whereas indoor cycling maybe 6-700. Running in general I believe is a more strenuous workout than cycling. The added outdoor vs indoor adds to that. I do peloton more now because it takes a lesser toll on my joints (knees, ankles hips). I am going to start training soon for 2022 la though so I will have more information.
both indoor or was the run outdoors? I usually find my runs burn a lot more. Maybe I am just giving more when I run. IDK
Runs are outdoor only. I hate treadmills. The vast majority of my runs are at easy pace even though my heart rates are higher than a bike. My garmin might have a much lower weight than my peloton too if that impacts anything. Comparing my last 60 minute run, the figures are flipped. Low 700s for PZE and high 700s for an easy run.
Just did my first FTP test.... Holy shit that is exhausting! New FTP moved from 156 to195 so that's cool
I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Didn’t need it just wanted to do it. Ally Love is really cute. Did her latest 80s ride and she reminds me of a Belizean girl I dated.
I want them too so let me know how they are if you get them. I’ve had mine for over 3 years so I might need to upgrade.
I've never had a pair of cycling shoes so I'm not sure if any certain brands are good, but I know Nike usually makes good stuff so I figured it was safe.
Took a scenic ride for the first time in forever. It was what I was hoping for when I originally got the bike. Dennis’ Big Sur ride. Play list was great and so where the views. Having an instructor made more interactive and it made me miss my outdoor rides.
hit 9.6 miles in the 30 minute ride. It wasn’t difficult because it wasn’t structured as in he didn’t call out numbers so I rode on feeling. If that makes sense.
Foley's smugness again haunting them. How they had their initial response is beyond me. I am curious if this impacts live classes.
We should recall those kids from the parents who let their children play on their $5000 treadmill. Buy the dip?
Seems like mailing out a rear guard or sending an install team to fix the issue in the back would have been cheaper/easier? Similar to how everyone with the baby product Bumbo was able to request a strap because kids were falling off tables.
By all accounts people love the Tread+. I just have to wonder how many people are actually going to return these. The optics on this are terrible, but all of this seems overblown.
I should know this as a PTON shareholder, but what % of their earnings were from these treadmills? It seems like this is partially a sell-off because of lack of faith in management / product development vs. total financial impact.
Pandemic has made it easy to be regimented. 5:30 - Get home, work out, shower 6:30 - Make dinner, watch some tv, have dessert 8:30 - Go to bed, read til fall asleep
I forgot that they move the bike/tread for you if you call them, and thought "It's funny that Peloton is offering users the option to relocate their own product within their own house."
Had a week where the headphone audio wasn’t super low. Then today and the latest update it back to that.
For those interested a few takeaways from Peloton’s earnings report today: - They’re expecting 10% or less of Tread+ owners to return their equipment, for total recall costs of $165M. - Running classes will continue as normal and Tread/Tread+ owners will receive 3 months free - New passcode for Tread/Tread+ being rolled out in the next week and aftermarket hardware fix will be forthcoming - Tread launch delayed in US, likely July start - Connected fitness subs up 135% YOY and digital subs up 404% YOY with 20% conversion rate to Bike/Tread sale. - Forward guidance largely unchanged. - Stock was up ~7% on the day. Anyway, very impressive numbers. The cult is strong and growing by the day.
