Nearly 20mm cases and over 200k deaths. I think his point is that she was jerking off about Corona not being dangerous super early on. Also I think it’s crazy how people think we should have less regulations during a pandemic that has killed 575k+ Americans meanwhile the nation went into an isolationist shell after ~50k died in WW1 or the fact war became the United State’s biggest international concern after ~290k died in World War 2. Crazy how different people’s reactions are when the enemy has a face.
It's really pathetic how little deadly force was used against armed, violent insurrectionists attempting to kill government officials, getting a timid reaction (from those deploying officers/troops, all credit due to heroes like Eugene Goodman) only because the terrorists were white.
Read this shit Kansas state rep loses his shit while subbing. Goes completely Old Testament https://www.kctv5.com/news/kansas-h...cle_64eb30e4-aa2b-11eb-a874-f7361933d83c.html
I truly despise those that conflate support for Jerusalem/Israel because they view themselves as Christian crusaders as support for Jewish people. I also despise people that think Jews who have never been to Israel are somehow responsible for every bad thing the Israeli government does but that’s a separate topic for another time. rising anti-semitism is a major problem in the developed world. It’s been rising in Europe for years and that rise has started to happen in the US over the last few years. I just hope US politicians don’t marginalize it like many European countries have.
This is how they frame it. In reality their support for Israel is motivated by an evangelical prophecy that says jews that control jerusalem will be converted when the rapture comes or some shit like that. If it's not that, it's anti arab or muslim bigotry. It's certainly not because they care about the well being of jews
A lot of Islamaphobia in this country is rooted in evangelicalism. Even if they’re not white protestant evangelicals, their world view has largely been shaped by evangelical politics of the past half century.
Evangelicals believe that an entirely Jewish state of Israel having its enemies annihilate them in a war is what will make Jesus come in and save the day and rapture them so all of the support they give Netanyahu's government is very cynical. This might be a hot take, but I think trying to coax the destruction of the Jewish people into happening is a tad bit Anti-Semitic.
Why did they need to do that? This looks exactly like the fucking live streams we all were watching while it happened? It was insane then and it's insane now and the fact that all these fucking traitors are just walking around is a national disgrace.
The most pro-Israel people I know don't know a single Jew. And sometimes make anti-Semitic jokes that they think are light hearted. It's not liking Jews. It's all bananas end of times stuff. Of that I am certain.
I recommend watching a little bit of Joel Osteen and you'll quickly lose that misconception. And most of your money.
Always been weird being around evangelicals who are so fervent in their support of Israel... so they can bring on the fucking rapture. Bananas
Joke aside, every time I pass him on the dial I can't believe that anyone watches him. Not only does he look ridiculous, but he sounds 100x's worse than he looks.
There's maybe 3 things that unify most of Christendom and hating Joel Osteen and people like him is one of them, which I very much appreciate.
Facebook held a hearing on reinstating Trump’s account. They are supposed to release their decision on Wednesday.
100% they let him back on. Please feel free to quote this and tell me how wrong and dumb I am if they in fact don't let him back on.
Fuck 'em if they do. He's still publicly supporting voter fraud myths. Why do you think he's going to change?
New pod I’m really enjoying, they aren’t that long but he really dives into the ancient Bronze Age mythology of the surrounding cultures
the Bible is a collection of myths and are usually used out of context, and most of the contradictions that really make it feel grounded are completely ignored by most establishment groups first episode is just a intro, he explains it better than me
According to the WaPo, the board had 19 of its 20 members participate in the decision. In 9 cases since it was created, it has overturned a decision 6 times, upheld 2 times, and reached a no decision once.
WaPo writer is doing an interview with Hawley on his book about tech censorship If the first question isn't about the legitimacy of the election the interview should be over but of course...
If folks want to boycott vegetarian restaurants, that is fine. I boycott almost every restaurant in the country.
