Fun fact first person I took lessons from wanted me to put every single ball two inches off my front foot.
Just realized that Monday practice round tickets for the PGA are only 30-40 bucks. May grab some and take a long weekend.
I’m looking around at DIY outdoor putting greens. Anyone put one in or worked with companies to do it?
A guy I used to work with installs them and posts pics on Facebook a lot... but other than that I have zero knowledge of what they cost or anything like that
Only explanation I can think of is they are a couple and they were celebrating and he posted it from wrong account.

A couple of 17 year olds shot 62 to Monday qualify for the Korn Ferry event this week. "Monday qualifiers: Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation" https://www.pgatour.com/korn-ferry-...ank-open-for-the-snedeker-foundation.amp.html

I have a friend that plays in a few champions tour events and has qualified for the senior us open a few times and has made the cut. He played in a us open local and made it through to sectionals 2 weeks ago. He said he was just trying to get some practice to prepare for senior open quals. Everyone there said he was the oldest to get through that they can remember. He told me he showed up and the winds were holwing and when he saw how baked out the greens were he knew he was going to post a competitive score. He played with a kid on the USC golf team who was blowing it by him 50-60 yards. Wedges all day for the college kid while he was burning hybrids into all the par 4's. Halfway through the kid saw his us open coin and said "I knew something was up with you. You are pretty damn savvy out here" I think the kid ended up chipping in on 18 to make it through.
Phil is way cooler than he used to be, and I’m all for it. Maybe he was always cool, I just chose Tiger instead.
Our club had a Mizuno rep out yesterday and I’ve been waiting for them so I could demo the new drivers. Pleasantly surprised, the driver was very consistent and my normal pull/pull hook miss was way less harsh. May pull the trigger today, I wasn’t immediately blown away like I’d hoped to be. One weird thing, the guy didn’t have a Trackman out there; hell, even the Cleveland rep had a launch monitor.
Mizuno irons are amazing, but not sure I’d get their driver. Here’s a comprehensive driver test by mygolfspy that’s worth reading if you’re looking at new drivers. https://mygolfspy.com/2021-most-wanted-driver/
Being completely at the mercy of the league’s mandatory scheduling is something very different than the PGA Tour, so I’ll give him that. But yeah, not sure selfless is the word I’d be using here Phil.
