The recall is sofa king stupid. 400mil+ Of tax payer money to do it, when they could just wait until next year when he’s up for re-election.
India has been barely functional de facto anarchy for decades; honestly no idea if they’ll make it out of this without major upheaval.
Would be interesting to see a top 10/bottom 10 of “educated” states to go along with this. The educated being % of population beyond GED/High School graduate status.
Uh, I just did a cursory search for that and it is pretty much identical except for Oklahoma being an outlier. It should be on the bottom 10 vaccinated list.

ATL customs/immigration is a fucking disaster. Packed in to the gills, no distance, no mask enforcement, no air flow
Three years reserve time, but I’m doing a program called Individually Mobilized Augmentee, which means I work for an active duty unit and can combine my drill days into bigger chunks, so I only have to travel a few times a year. We’re also trying to get me into my old shop in England so I don’t have to travel back.
Not Brookline but I was out and about all weekend in absolutely beautiful weather in Columbus, I’d say 85% of ppl are still in a mask in the downtown liberal core outside. My vaccinated ass was not
im really over this part of the process if people wanna continue measures and help numbers go down, who gives a shit
It feels more and more like they want a cookie for wearing masks this long, but they also don't want to feel like taking off the mask will end up being the wrong thing to do, so they make the people still taking the extra precautions out to be the ones doing harm.
https://www.seattletimes.com/nation...bany-church-highlights-question-of-oversight/ if it wasn't safe why would they let you do it? https://www.sciencenews.org/article/covid-brain-coronavirus-symptom-stroke-anxiety-depression Leaky brains from covid
I went to The Wharf Saturday for a friends birthday/Derby and it was slammed and only workers had masks on. We were all at a private table and had all been vaccinated. I can only hope everyone else was vaccinated as well.
Haven’t we always thought this would become a yearly thing like the flu? I didnt think we’d ever wipe covid off the map, it’s too volatile
The southeast will stay largely unvaccinated, and they'll feed the rest of the country as new variants emerge.
I think the best case scenario is like 65% are vaccinated and do so annually, and then maybe 20-30% just cycle immunity by getting the virus and it’s hopefully a low enough number of infections to rarely see variants that bypass vaccine immunity.
If 20%-30% of the United States population gets COVID each year, at the current rates, we'd be killing 1.2 million to 1.8 million Americans per year. That would be more deadly than cancer and heart disease combined. Due to a virus for which we have vaccines that are ~95% effective.
Depends who makes up that 20-30%. The fact that even without a vaccine we didn’t even do half of 1.2 million thinks there might be a little fear mongering in this post
Hard to imagine a year worse than the last, but I could see several hundred deaths a day well into '22.
my four month old is getting antibodies from milk so i guess we’ll be those freaks who breastfeed their kids until they go to college
Think it's undisputed we missed tons of cases (particularly among college kids who've all partied together since August/September) but yeah it's pretty grim.
