Hey, at least I'm not going to kick and scream and pitch a fit on here every chance I get just because it exists. I'll give it a shot, but maybe not right away.
It’s bad. Even my childhood nostalgia for it is shaded by how boring it is and doesn’t feel like Star Wars.
I watched both of them when I was a kid many times and loved them. I shall not revisit and pretend they are cinematic tour de forces
Saw Revan was trending on twitter. Got excited that they were making a KOTOR show. Nope just people fighting because Star Wars Uber nerds are ripping the newer fans for not being legit fans because they don’t know who revan is. This is why you never get your hopes up. Life is a disappointment
Watching the last episode of Rebels with my boy tomorrow. Will start Clone Wars next. What's the better series? We loved Rebels.
the rumors are still strong and "reconfirmed" that a KOTOR remake is underway. Not a sequel. https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/jason-schreier-confirms-kotor-remake-done-by-aspyr-media Schreier is pretty plugged in and accurate with game reporting.
I think Clone Wars has higher highs but lower lows. Rebels didn’t drag much and seemed like they knew pretty much where they wanted to go early on. CW dicked around more before starting to get its shit (and chronologically linear episode structure) together sometime around season 3. Of course, as all will tell you, follow the official chronology order that you can find on the star wars website.
honestly really tired of remakes, until micro transactions stop being profitable, or triple A games become cheap to make, story based gaming is p much dead
anyone else excited for The Bad Batch? I think they're going to use it to link to some interesting stuff.
I wasnt excited for any of the cartoons but they all delivered. Except for Resistance. That was awful. Nothing about a Clone Trooper A Team excites me that much but I know it will open up new doors, ask new questions, link to some great lore. So I’m excited for that. Filoni gets all the blind faith in the universe.
You could bet every last penny you own that Disney will milk this cow dry. There will be more Skywalker movies.
There is no salvaging. It was a train wreck. All the interesting parts that you could have salvaged were turned into dead ends.
The prequels had good lore and a coherent story. They were undone by trying to do too much and cheesy writing and acting. There’s nothing coherent about the sequel trilogy and all the interesting lore (snoke, Luke’s academy) was destroyed by snoke being a dumb clone made by Palpatine and Luke’s Academy being nuked. There could be a clone wars type show about the academy. That would be cool. But all the cool table setting in TFA was thwarted in TLJ and TROS killed it all w the Palpatine stuff. Just ignore it all abd hopefully focus on High Republic Era
The main saga needs to be left alone and focus on expanding the universe through interesting storylines that can bring in new fans like TOR
Exactly. They blew it. Let the skywalker story end and tell new sagas in the same universe but different storyline.
Did you guys hear they confirmed Snoke's origin? Spoiler: No bullshit spoiler cloned from Luke's hand Not a joke
One thought I have had for a while now. Would there be any chance they build the duture story (movie or cartoon) around Asoka, Grogu, Ezra, Cal and Rey getting together to rebuild the order? 5 Jedi's that are alive during the sequel trilogy, obviously Rey was the central figure but neither of the other 4 had any mention or impact. Thought it could be really interesting to seer the 5 of them come together to rebuild the order, each having a different perspective and background. The order could be rebuilt in a new way with more progressive ideologies. Highly unlikely but the thought it fun. There has to be some ending to all 5 of them still being alive.
