Felton is a great pick up. Was hoping we’d pick him up to fill the role Lindsay had since he left. Hope he does well for you guys. Loved watching him play.

I can’t get behind any nfl teams but if I get behind one let’s make it the browns.

another dirty talking bad joke but I like the direction of this team and I want to watch more nfl, I need a team to like and your fanbase is fun, the team is exciting.

I am in, until they lose a game

I am sure you have all seen this multiple times but it’s such a fun little watch. He is a game wrecker. Even if he just plays situationally and on special teams he will make some plus plays for US

    Absolute A+++ from Berry.

I have no complaints, just great work.

Got two starters and first round players with the first two picks. Got the fastest player in the draft who's gonna be a gadget and ST player for a long time. Got a swing tackle that's probably going to be a starter in a few years. Filled up the DT room with talented guys.

I think we have 5-6 guys who are going to contribute as rookies on a deep, talented team.

Schwartz was the player that made me give up on Gus. Sending him in motion should have opened up the entire field because the linebackers had to respect his ability to get to the edge. Gus seemingly never realized this and telegraphed him getting the ball by formation. Otherwise, he ran a go route. Gus was like playing a 7 year old on Madden. When said 7 year old had Vick, he was decent. When he had literally any other type of QB and had to rely on calling plays based on coverage tendencies, he was going to get drummed by an inferior team. I think at his draft position, Schwartz is a steal. Game changing speed and could develop into a great receiver. Had he gone to Alabama, he is a top ten pick because of scheme and development.

    PFF:

    CLEVELAND BROWNS
R1 (26): CB Greg Newsome II, Northwestern
    R2 (52): LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame
R3 (91): WR Anthony Schwartz, Auburn
R4 (110): OT James Hudson, Cincinnati
R4 (132): DI Tommy Togiai, Ohio State
R5 (153): LB Tony Fields II, West Virginia
    R5 (169): S Richard LeCounte, Georgia
R6 (211): RB Demetric Felton, UCLA

Day 1: The Browns are one of the NFL’s smartest teams, and they attacked one of the most valuable positions in the game here. Newsome is also a very good prospect, representing incredible value here at No. 26. He was battle-tested on a small sample of snaps in 2020, facing 34 targets through his first four games. He held his own, allowing just 93 yards and five first downs while making eight plays on the ball. His feet are easily the best in the class. Whether Newsome is playing off-coverage or press-man, he’ll make plays.

Day 2: The Browns continue to make smart moves. It’s not easy to pinpoint a clear role for Owusu-Koramoah in the NFL, but he’s talented enough to contribute somewhere. He’s an off-ball linebacker who had slot cornerback coverage responsibilities in Notre Dame’s defense and looked good in that role. JOK is a smooth, explosive athlete who can fill multiple roles for Cleveland defensively. This is tremendous value for a top-20 player on PFF’s Big Board.

Day 3: Cleveland continues to commit highway robbery by getting Tommy Togiai, a Day 2 pick, here on Day 3. He has a powerful bull-rush and can be a forceful 3-technique in both facets. He posted an 87.8 run-defense grade and 77.0 pass-rush grade for the Buckeyes in 2020.

    Draft Grade: A+

I can't believe I am in a mindset to say the Browns "won" this draft. Not only did they get the most talented players available at their picks, but they also addressed their needs.

Honestly, if you are a Browns fan, how can you not be excited with what Berry and Stefanski are doing?

The Browns won the entire off-season. Free agency, the draft...the Browns won it all. This front office is friggin' magical. Just flat out wizards. Now it's time to go win it all on the field.

Consider this...this will be the first time since 2010 that the Browns are coming into the season with the same offensive play caller. That's 11 years with zero continuity for an offense. I fully expect Baker to take the next step this season. Hell, I expect the entire offense to take the next step this season.

    Let's fucking go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    SI:

    Cleveland Browns
Round 1 (26) - Greg Newsome II, CB, Northwestern
    Round 2 (52) - Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
Round 3 (91) - Anthony Schwartz, WR, Auburn
Round 4 (110) - James Hudson, OT, Cincinnati
Round 4 (132) - Tommy Togiai, DT, Ohio State
Round 5 (153) - Tony Fields II, LB, West Virginia
    Round 5 (169) - Richard LeCounte, S, Georgia
Round 6 (211) - Demetric Felton, RB, UCLA

It’s hard to think of a team that picked as late as the Browns did and filled as many needs with high-end starters over the first few rounds. Greg Newsome II could be the final bit of mortar holding together one of the best secondaries on paper in the NFL. Let me say that again three times before I get chewed apart for this: ON PAPER. ON PAPER. ON. PAPER. John Johnson III, Ronnie Harrison, Grant Delpit, Denzel Ward, Newsome and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah are going to present some serious matchup issues for their opponents. Cleveland, thanks to this draft, is probably going to be one of the few teams in the NFL capable of dictating what most offenses do instead of the other way around.

At the back end of the draft, experimenting with a player like Demetric Felton out of UCLA could really pay dividends. As more teams hone in on what the Browns do well offensively in their double-tight personnel, Felton is a running back/receiver/returner hybrid who can show up in 10 or 11 personnel and scare teams as he shoots across the backfield in sprint motion.

I was watching the post pick press conferences on Youtube and Mary Kay Cabot asked one of them if we had gotten too many good defensive players in free agency and the draft and if that would be a problem.

She is literally the dumbest person in sports media, she asks at least one really stupid question like that per presser.

Where do you guys think jok will play at first, what is the defensive scheme?

i would not even be worried about him playing the traditional weak side lb in a 4-3 so I am not too worried about his fit in a nfl defense but I am just trying to figure out what it could look like

Joe Woods runs a 4-3 but he wants to run nickel and dime primarily. They'll probably list JOK as the Will but I expect he'll be moved around a lot more than the other LBs.

I'd say Joe Woods time in Cleveland is largely going to be judged on how effective he is at getting the most out of JOK, because on paper, he's a perfect fit for what Woods wants to do.
