Still laughing at a substitute teacher acquiring 6 properties with cash in a couple years. Even at $30k, that's $180k, more than a substitute teacher makes in a couple years. Come up with a better story.
Glad you thought to edit your original diatribe but fyi you can get some good therapists for $5m. Between your thirst for approval for being "self-made" and your implosion when rejected by your first woman it might be your best investment ever
$5mm in properties is cool, but have you ever been in line to wear the Northeast Ohio Arby's Crown? I think not. Peasant.
It was unnecessary, I don’t need to circle jerk my history in detail like you, Bo, and Lyrtch, but point stands and applies to you as well… it’s easier to rationalize other’s success as a product of privilege bc it makes you feel better about your lack of. It’s cute that you’ve added little addendums to your life story of struggle so you don’t look like a complete buffoon to people who’ve really had it bad.
Why the FRICK are all my stocks red??? Also maybe I should have sold DKNG when it was like 70+ a share...
My dad's christmas gift this past year was $500 in Visa gift cards he got from redeeming reward points through his company. I just received the actual gift cards last month. New money haters are furious at my come up.
Oh, I've had a wonderfully privileged life. It just irritates me when jackoffs who talk about old money claim self-made status when they don't really know poverty, though. I was poverty adjacent and have never been in here or any other thread talking about bootstrapping myself to my net worth. Because that's preposterous as a white male middle class or up guy who got to go to public school and had parents who would help me out if I failed. And it's what douche bags do.
The old money comment was clearly a joke. Your use of the term “poverty adjacent” was not. Get a fucking grip.
I’d buy that narrative if it weren’t for the reaction that burnttatertot elicited for screenshotting his trading account balance… in a thread about trading/investing. He wasn’t in argument with anyone.
Your assumption that people giving you shit aren't successful, whatever your definition of that is, is also very fitting and funny.
Hardly an assumption to assume what motivates totally well adjusted stable successful people from reacting to a screenshot of a trading account the way they did, overreacting to a less than subtle joke/bit the way they did, then unironically sharing a bullet point narrative of how they were “poor adjacent”, generationally just achieved escape velocity from being poor, etc. to cement their salt of the earth bonafides. It is what it is.
If you didn’t rotate to commodities/value in the last 12mos, you’re prob better off stashing cash for the crash.
TDOC down another 3%, I've officially started a position at 156 and some change, if this doesn't pan out I'm holding all of you responsible. Spent 20k today, back in on INTC (trash) and started with some ABNB (also trash).
I got my bonus in March and put a bunch into growth and tech stocks. great timing. That's down like 35% now. My crypto gains offset some, but not all of those losses. At least this time I'm holding shares and havent YOLOd into too many options, so I can still recover in the future
Apparently the key is to just ignore your portfolio. Now I'm up a very good amount today. Weird ass market
I mean I've been holding these positions since January. I don't do very much movement except for a separate amount of money I use to chase OTC jackpots.
