Not sure that's true either. GoT was insanely rushed to a conclusion by D&D. That, imo, had more to do with how shitty it ended than the lack of book material.
How’s everyone feeling on this? I know a lot of people were soured by the ending of GOT but I’m pretty excited about jumping back into the world for more shows
Just finished Fire and Blood so at least they have all of the source material for this one and aren’t just winging it at the end.
I’m excited for it. There’s plenty of source material and the guys responsible for that lackluster ending are long gone. They’ve also brought back a fair amount of those who made it a success.
I’m pretty “Meh” on it. The whole GRRM and the HBO debacle has me pretty disinterested in this series. I’ll wait until reviews are out before I give it a shot.
Only thing I’d be worried about is dialogue and character development. Zero worries about the actual story or what visually HBO will produce
Yeah I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. No D&D and Hopefully HBO has learned its lesson regarding its cash cow.
I get it but They actually have a really interesting back story tho. Hope they tackle the political side of their history and not just the shiny dragons.
this is why i don't care i think. i just don't care about the dragons or white walkers tbh i cared about the families and different houses i would mostly skip the daenerys chapters in the books
There’s just as much political intrigue in their history with bastards, civil wars, back stabbing family members as GoT. She def has her moments but She’s not as bad in the books as the show made her.
I’m going to give it a chance. Game of Thrones was great 1~6/possibly 7 seasons. ♂️ I’m not going to let 1 and a half seasons do me in! Looking for to this actually.
After how GoT started playing out once they got past the source material, I have low expectations for this show.
I seriously doubt it's as good as GOT was but the final season and ending probably won't be as fucking stupid
This series has a ton of source material. Not just the new book but the dance of dragons has been in like 3 other books as well. The show wouldn’t have to just make up its own ending
This looks like it can be good Going to take a while to get used to prince Phillip looking like that though
Yep, here for that. Has me itChing to refresh myself on all the background that was mentioned but not fully developed in ASOIAF.
