Anyone been to Alibi lately? Are they still doing the hour long drive through carry out? was thinking of picking up a pizza from there for the draft. Trying to figure out what I would be driving into.
yes, but it’s not that bad. They had to close down the restaurant due to no staff, but carry out runs smoothly (20-30 minutes)
Wildlife biologists caught a 6’10 240 lb sturgeon in the Detroit River. They estimate that the fish is 100 years old. They tagged and released it. It’s remarkable that the fish is that big and old, but even more remarkable that they found it in the Detroit River.
it has been so nice seeing everything in bloom and all the spring colors the past few weeks. It is really pretty now, so green I've been seeing a bunch of mink on the Chippewa River
From about May 1 thru October 31, Michigan is pretty universally awesome. Might get a little rough in the heat of August, so that's when you find a lake.
Yesterday was May 5, and while it looked like a beautiful day, it fucking sucked to be outside. I've never been more uncomfortable on a golf course
Everyone around here is just happy to be outside on the golf course that no one cares how cold it is. Haha, I’ve actually been out 4-5 times already this year and hasn’t been over 55 yet.
I played Sunday which was windy but comfortable. Yesterday was brutal. The guys I played with were also cold but didn't miss the opportunity to give me shit about being a southerner freezing my ass off. I bought multiple cold weather layers at the turn
Extremely enjoyable. First time playing 8-18. I love the course but holy shit are those greens diabolical. Feel like I need 200 rounds out there to figure them out. Hit it much better than I scored. The guys I played with were great. They like to drink and gamble which made it feel like home
We've found a daycare for the little man so I'll be playing a ton more than expected. Let me know when you want/can make it over this way.
Yup those are awesome too. All the packs I've seen are 20 MG pieces which is nice, feels like they're making them for the daily users
After 2 rounds, I concur. I've yet to par 9 (took me 4 to get down from just off the right side yesterday) and 10 green is stupid. Are you a member out there?
No, I live in the Detroit area now. Like RalfBully I grew up in Norton Shores and have a couple buddies that are members there though. I normally get back to play a couple times a year at least. I kicked his ass in the member/guest there a couple summers ago
I currently live in Norton Shores and just joined. I'm hoping to get him out here for multiple rounds this summer.
oh snap Dispo has a med deal for 5 packs of 100-MG Fresh Coast edibles for $25. Those are another top tier option and I love their packaging because it's got all these cool lake shore details incorporated into the branding place is definitely worth a trip to Bay City if you like edibles, you can absolutely load up there
Haha it’s a crappy course in Spring Lake (really Nunica). Just a joke that MCC will prepare you for the real challenge of playing there. But we will find time to get out sometime this summer!
