His broader comments make sense. Guys don't play every week and fans and sponsors really have no idea what they are getting when they decide to sponsor/attend an event. Maybe he should have said guys aren't willing to give up the freedom.
I’ve weirdly been a mizuno driver guy for a while. Picked up a ST180 driver off the rack summer of 2019 for pretty cheap to replace a really old Mizuno driver. When I got fitted, hit a bunch of different heads and shafts and once we picked out the shaft, changing heads didn't make much difference so I stuck with it.
Anyone have experience with ship sticks or a similar company? I've heard too many horror stories about airlines damaging clubs.

I don’t know anybody that’s used it. Always priced out more expensively than checking my clubs on my flight the couple of times I’ve looked into it.
paid Ship Sticks an obscene amount of money to overnight clubs from a club in NY to a club in FL. Took them 2 business days. Played rentals at the club in Florida. Wont be getting my business again.
Good to know. I have a month and a half before I leave so I could send them well in advance if needed.
My clubs have never been over 50 lbs when I check them on a plane. They are either free to check depending on airline or the standard fee for 1 checked bag($30 for Delta if you don't have status to get a free bag checked)
I get a free checked bag, but my bag may end up over 50 lbs for this trip. My thoughts are that I'm willing to pay more to ensure they arrive in one piece. I know of clubs being damaged by airlines.
Do you have a good travel bag? When I did the FedEx club shipping they charged just as much for the damn box and packaging to put them in. That trip I bought a travel bag when I was there and checked them in the way home.
I would say if you don't travel with clubs often, just do whatever is more convenient. +/- $20 in cost for convenience is probably worth it. If you travel a lot with clubs you should probably get a good travel bag and go that route.
One of the big reasons I really wanted to like the Mizuno is they’ve stayed at $400 and they have a good list of shafts at no extra cost, all the bigger driver names have gotten obscene with the newest stuff and only a couple offer good shafts at no charge. I’ve never gotten along with the Callaway stuff. I’m still not positive that anything has beaten out my G400 Max yet though so I’m not in any hurry
I think im almost to year 4 of my g400 and the thought of buying something new hasn't even crossed my mind. Love the sound and feel of squaring one up off of it.
I just got in a very dark place with it for a while and was thinking I wanted to move on. Been hitting it well the last few weeks as I started flirting with other brands and we’re back on good terms now
Had one of those rounds today that I hit it great in every aspect but my putting was a little off. Had so many missed birdies and 3 putts. Was frustrated my score wasn’t better than it was but felt great afterwards.
Right there with you. Surprised I shot an 83 with how my putting went. I always expect my putting to be like that at this course though as there’s no straight putts on the greens. One reason it’s my favorite course in the area. It’s always in great shape and challenging.
I have one of those things that looks like an umbrella and knock on wood have always been okay. It is 30 on Amazon and then the bag itself got one for like 130ish?
Loving this coverage of the walker cup at Seminole. Always heard about this course but think this might be the first time I’ve ever actually seen it. Absolutely beautiful
Seminole looking amazing this afternoon, firm and fast with some wind. Guys chipping it through greens all over the place
Missed the singles, wish peacock would do replays on demand. Seminole looked great. Knowing the course from the Rory/DJ match helped.
Seminole is filthy. Their new super is from Ford plantation in Georgia. Its the most immaculate course I've ever played. There wasn't a single weed or blade of grass out of place when I played there a few months ago. It was incredible.
I dont get Hagestad's angle or where he is trying to take this but hoping he goes away never seen a guy take as long to get his MBA
I assume Seminole is the Florida version of Augusta. You have to be asked to join, no dollar figure. True?
