And Peterborough replaced him with the top goal scorer in league one who was named league one player of the year they know what they’re doing
the crazy thing is both guys never played full time starter minutes until they went to Peterborough but the goals per 90 were solid. They seem to be using an analytics heavy approach like brentford. We will see what Peterborough can do in the championship next season.
The chairman does a podcast and he is pretty sharp. Talked about how they purposely play attacking knowing they’ll concede so they can sell their strikers to help fund the club
Brentford’s scout team is incredible. They buy strikers, sell them for a ton of profit, buy another top striker.
There was a sell on clause from Newcastle to Peterborough. If they get more money then Newcastle is due some of it still, I’m pretty sure
I thought he was a front for some criminal gang looking to buy a team. I guess I should have just assumed that a fraud was more likely.
Bournemouth get an early goal to go up 2-0 aggregate but just conceded a penalty (pretty harsh handball IMO)
Oh my god Bournemouth CB Mepham doesn’t realize an attacker is right behind him and loses the ball then takes him out grabbing his feet and tripping him DOGSO red in the 28th
imagine being a Barnsley fan, riding this unimaginable wave largely due to the physical presence up top, allowing them this opportunity to reach the highest level of the sport, and the manager drowns out any chance playing 3D underwater chess
In his defense Dike was the worst rated player in the first leg and they hadn’t scored a single goal against Swansea through 3 matches on the season
Im not sure Dike would make a difference. Yes he's been fantastic since arriving in Barnsley, but he's exactly the type of player that Cabango and Guehi can cover up as shown in game 1. Barnsley showing fuck all though so they probably need to give him his chance sooner than later.
