Anyone having issues with their HR Monitor staying connected during their rides? I don’t use headphones so not sure if it’s a Bluetooth issue or what.
Since the big update, I can’t get it to work unless I start with it on, begin a warm up ride, it shows “-“, I turn it off and turn it back on. It will then work for the rest of my workouts
Now on two weeks without the bike due to XPO being a shit courier and messing up the frame. Delivery pushed back another week.
This take will certainly be met with opposition. But I have the bike, a yoga mat, and the bowflex weights. I do mainly do my own workouts with the weights. And I used to do the Ally Love core program, but I’ve finished it. jumping into random classes focusing on whatever you want to do (core, arms, etc) is always a fail for me. Because the nature of these classes is to get you out in the exact amount of time it says, everything moves really fast. But they don’t give you a set list. Instructors waste time with shoutouts. And some of the moves are so unique and intricate, yet the instructors just plow ahead as if you know it after one quick explanation.
do the workouts on your laptop so you can pause and rewind if you need. I try and stack workouts so I’ll do upper body one day and lower the next. I like them but that’s me.
I guess, but that’s an annoying amount of effort when I’m moving or lifting. I suppose I’m looking for a 10 minute workout that is listed as 12 minutes and works in sufficient explanations.
I agree with this. I also have the Bowfkex dumbbells and find the workouts within the app to be better for me than the Pelo strength classes.
That’s good to know. I was gonna download the app, but it had awful reviews. I used FitBod for a while and enjoyed the set lists and explanations it provided. But didn’t want to pay another monthly fee.
i guess we just have different opinions. I’ve never found the strength workouts to be too rushed or to lack instructions. I like them because they are quick and to the point. Most I’ve taken are here us the lift now do as many as you can for 90 seconds or so. They rest a lot but that doesn’t bother me too much.
An Olivia Amato core class brought me to this point. It was so ridiculous that I was just laughing at how intricate the moves where but how fast she was flying through them
Here’s a few screenshots. There are video demonstrations that play during the set. After each set, you enter your number of reps and the weight used and it doesn’t advance to the next set until you do. So you can spend time watching the guy do a move before you start. There’s also a create a workout where you can mix and match different moves from different workouts.
When I first got mine last fall I remember having issues getting by Beats to sync. Not sure what I even did but it finally worked.
Is it the initial pairing? If so There is a tutorial video on YouTube I used to pair mine. I’ll look for it. If not I sometimes have to put them back in the charging case if they don’t connect right away. The frustrating part is when one connects butt the other one doesn’t. When that happens putting them back in the case waiting a couple seconds then taking them back out usually fixes the issue. Happens about once a week.
Yeah, initial pairing. The Peloton finds them, but I can’t get them to connect. And I hate when one pairs and the other doesn’t. I’ve had that issue a few times with my Apple Watch.
this is the video I used to pair mine. I still have the issue that one will pair but the other one won’t. I usually put them in the charging case for a few seconds take them out and they’ll both pair. I noticed it helps to have the bike ready to go before I take them out of the case.
This is why I stick to Andy on the strength workouts. Most of them involve simple, easy to understand movements and he operates at a normal pace. His 4 week strength program is great.
something heavyish 20-35 and something medium about 15. Chase Tucker is great. I think core and advanced yoga classes are probably the hardest to follow
i like chase a little more than AW. But it’s a toss up for me. I look exactly like CT so maybe that’s why I like him more. It’s like staring in a mirror when I take his classes.
Battling a cold but told myself I should take a ride at half speed to sweat out the crud. Ended up with a 60-minute PR of 966 kj.
How do you like the bow flex weights? I’m tempted to get them but it’s a high cost (though less than if all the weights were purchased separately).
Did my day 3 ride with Jess King in the beginner program. She is easy on the eyes but did not shut the fuck up. Not a fan.
Some are harder than others. You have a cardio background that probably means going through the beginner program is a waste of time after a handful of rides to figure out how it works. I recommend just going into 30 minute rides and picking a ride that lets you do what you want to that day at a difficulty that makes sense. You can see the estimated output towards the bottom of the class and it shows the cadence and resistance targets.
A little of both, all the regular rides of hers HBC been tougher then I expected, but that can be a good thing.
Pulled the trigger on the Bike+ earlier this week. With the financing options it was basically free, right? Haha, looking forward to being humbled most days on it.
Fuck an XPO. I placed my order on 3/9. Got two rides in, unknowingly as a new rider, on a bike damaged by XPO who is currently holding the replacement and delaying delivery two weeks at a time.
