Unless your wife is allergic, then a golden doodle and labradoodle are great. We rescued our labradoodle and would have our golden doodle if I had known better 11 years ago. Couldn’t ask for better dogs.
Get a pit. They will be the majority at shelters. They are awesome and will probably be out down because most people won’t adopt them because of their reputations.
Anyone ever try adopting senior dogs? I'm probably going to need a year or two to recover whenever my dog's time is up, but I'm thinking about only taking in older dogs that don't have much time left
Got two additional good years out of a cancer dog that would have been put down otherwise due to cost.
Yea... it probably is Figure most the time you get out of an old dog is just gravy, so it wouldn't be as painful knowing you gave it the best possible end to a life That seems a lot less painful than what I'm expecting when my 14 yr old dog passes
I think a large portion of doodle owners are people who can't admit to themselves that they like poodles.
My neighbor has a doodle the same age as my chocolate lab and it's just comical when they play how much bigger that damn doodle is I swear he has some great Dane in him
Standard poodles are actually decent imo miniature poodles are the devils and for 80 yr old women because they’ll both have dentures by the time they die
I don’t have anything against poodles, just prefer their derivative breeds. This is coming from a guy whose first dog was a Yorky, so it’s not a tough guy thing.
And pugs. They’re an abomination and I feel awful for them. I’d add in English Bulldogs but I like Daniel Ocean so I’ll bypass that hot take.
I thought when I moved out of south central I would not have to worry about becoming a victim to drive by violence.
