I mentioned it a few pages back but I think the fact that RB is on their 3rd driver in less than 3 yrs who can't manage it shows that Max is a fantastic driver and they don't do the 2nd driver any favors with the car. I have no inside knowledge abt F1 or RB as I am also a recent addition to the sport but Perez doing pretty damn well last year and Gasly going back to AT and doing pretty damn well makes me think it's more on RB and less on the driver.
Also a recent addition and don’t know anything about the technical side but I disliked Max from the outset because he seems like a whiny baby. But a whiny baby who is good enough to justify Red Bull catering to him in all respects, which seems like a lot of the time is a zero sum game for his “teammate”.
The 2nd seat at RB doesn't look like any fun. My first season was watching Riccardo at RB on DTS, I haven't like Max ever since. Just cant get past my first impressions
Welp, my fantasy team is shot. Had Leclerc as my double points and Bottas as well. I'm watching in St Martin on CANAL and they have Grosjean as one of the announcers, which, while neat, him and the others keep talking over the drivers on the radio. Really annoying not to be able to hear what they are saying.
I am trying to get into F1. Am I full of shit or is the starting grid the most important determination of race results? I’ve been watching casually for about a year now and unless you are Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton even a positional change in the middle of the field seems nearly insurmountable.
By design, yes, but that's the way most motorsports work. Monaco is just one of the absolute extreme examples where it's even more important.
This (likely) result is good for the drivers and constructors championship. Lewis and Merc haven't had to play from behind in a long damn time.
Didn’t expect Yuki to set a fastest lap. Did it say new lap record, as in all time? edit: that lasted no time, Lewis under 1:13
