Post Malone covered “You Can Have the Crown” with Dwight Yoakam’s band. Interesting sound with Post’s vocals, but I think they did a good job https://www.savingcountrymusic.com/post-malone-covers-sturgill-simpson-w-dwight-yoakams-band/
Photo is taken at Big Als Deli. If you’re ever in Nashville during the week, try to visit for breakfast and you may still see one of these guys in the same seat. The place is as big as the photo, and your plate will have enough food to feed you for the day. Best hidden gem in Nashville. Cant believe I used to see these two pretty regularly in that same spot
Not sure if this guy has been posted before, but I am blown away. I can't remember the last time I stumbled onto someone this good that seemingly isn't that famous.
h/t to you and to this king. He plays a free show in 2 weeks about 20 mins away as part of a concert series my friends and I like. Since he's a DFW local, he has other sets too that I put on my calendar.
Wife sent me this. May try and get tickets to the Austin show. I’m sure it’s going to be really hard to get them with Willie playing there though. Great lineup
I’m glad I got to see Willie live before because of who he is, what he’s done, etc, but in terms of pure live music and entertainment, the rest of the lineup will make the show.
luckily i have seen stapleton before. he did the postgame concert memorial day weekend for braves/marlins the last year of turner. tickets for the game and show were like $15. he was incredible live
Stapleton's hitting Charlotte for a headline show the month before. With Elle King, who is wonderful.
The only sturgill weekend that works for us is the september show in Columbia, MD. Anyone have any experience seeing a show there? I got pumped for the show in San Jose, CA then realized Sturgill wouldn't be there and now I'm trying to figure out if it's worth chasing another show or waiting for him to announce a different tour
I received an email that his merch is doing a 20% off for the holiday. I see a few awesome shirts I want and then I notice the backs of them are the cancelled 2020 tour and then I got bummed. Man him and Tyler together would have been awesome. devine
My Facebook memories thing popped up from 6 years ago. This was my first time seeing him. He was the first act around noon at a local festival. I got on the rail. The crowd was so small. Great show. /fbpostover
My first show was 6 years ago next Saturday at Roo. Were you there for that one? Also, that's Jefferson Crowe on the keys. Later that fall both Crowe and current keys player Bobby Emmett played keys at the same time. I always wandered what happened to Crowe?
First Sturgill show was at the Ryman when he opened for Isbell and then saw him a couple days later at a shithole dive bar in Jacksonville with Norm Peterson
Sturgill opening for Isbell at the Ryman will always be my favorite show. That was one hell of a trip. We were right next Gilbert Gottfried at that dive bar show in Jax.
