Pros blow the regular outta the water. Better fit with multiple ear tip sizes and styles. Better sound. Noise cancelling. I might wait to see if new ones come out (as has been mentioned) but the pros are really good.
Pros suck for fitness. They fall out. I love my powerbeats pro. 9 hr battery life. Won’t fall off. AirPod pros are relegated to casual use. Don’t use the noise cancellation much anymore either.
I’ve been using my regular AirPods over the pros lately, I just like the lightness and it fits my ear better. Still p good audio quality
Ear fit is subjective. Regular AirPods fit my ear perfect, the stock Pro tips hurt like hell and fell out all the time.
That said, I really enjoy the noise blocking and cancellation of the Pros. I have some hearing loss so it’s reassuring that I’m not trying to overpower outside noise too much.
Spotify is adding HiFi also however you need a setup to experience it. Anything Bluetooth forget it. Wired. A good DAC. I’ll use it for home stereo wired speakers, network player. Good DAC. Either way it’s supposed to be free. It’ll kill Tidal even more
I hate my pros. They just didn’t fit right. My wife loves them though and uses them all the time. I’ll wait for the pro max to be more affordable before getting anymore.
I ran 19 miles yesterday with the pros with stock tips. I have Average Common Denominator Human Ears, hooray.
My regular airpods have horrible battery life, might get pros before trip to Europe, though I also have some over the ear that would work for traveling too.
yeah patiently waiting on Spotify hifi as my 1 year tidal runs out in July I have a schiit stack on my pc with beyerdynamic cans. It’s where lossless really shines. Can’t really tell on AirPods or Bluetooth over ears
For the guys complaining about AirPod pros being terrible for exercise. I run with mine and never have issues. The main reason is the comply foam tips. The Apple tips made them fall out a lot.
Wife and my phone are nearly paid off and she has a badly busted screen now. Need to get her a new one but what’s the latest and is it worth holding out for the new one in the fall for at least myself? Upgrading from Xs max
I have the standard 12. Haven’t been able to tell the difference between this and the X I had previously.
Caved and got a 12.9 iPad Pro. Best Buy randomly had one silver one left in stock. Holy Christ it is fast
Whoever designed the Apple TV Remote is a piece of shit and I hope they get kicked in their private parts routinely.
Late to the convo and I only go three miles on the treadmill but I run with my pros three times a week and have never had one fall out running. My last pros I had the wrong tips in and one fell out and was ran over by a telehandler at a job site. Watched the damn thing bounce right under the tire as it drove by. Right tips make them so much better.
We have to pay for the new one? They should be free. Those fucking remotes are practically worthless. I basically find what I'm looking for and hide it so no one breathes on the fucking thing and starts flipping out.
I almost threw it at the tv the other day. Fuck apple. Altice One has some shit remotes too because they had connection issues but when you paired one with a tv they're fine. We had a few issues but you could at least use it to get what you needed. Whereas I believe the apple remote was designed as a stress test and the govt is watching us thru our tvs to see who will be the next person to go on a shooting rampage.
Late to this party but the first thing you should do with AirPods Pro is buy some solid foam tips. Makes a word of difference for fit, isolation, and using to work out in.
i use the phone remote on like every device available and set the actual remote somewhere safe (which I inevitably forget)
What is so bad about the Apple remote? It’s certainly not a revolutionary device but it works fine for me.
Has anyone had Apple replace a defective AirPod Pro? I bought mine in January 2020 and as of a few days ago the left one has static and popping noises when I turn on noise cancellation/transparency. I went through Apple Chat but the guy was not helpful and kept saying that I would have to pay. About to book an Apple Store appointment and let them handle it.
Tried Apple Music once again for a month. The fact they can’t fix basic shit like gapless playback and collaborative playlists still baffles me. Spotify, I’m coming home.
I switch to iPhone and now am looking for Apple Watch and maybe air pods bc I’m a sucker. Should I get the 6 series and pro pods, hold out for new stuff (no clue when that might be) or just get older stuff. Not sure about what new stuff was added vs old or what is coming down the pipeline
Usually the new hardware is announced/released in September. There's rumors about a new Airpods Pro that incorporates the chipset that the new Air Tags use, but they're just rumors. I don't know anything about new watch hardware but I imagine they'll have an incremental upgrade. So it really just depends on how FOMO you think you'll experience. The watches are at a pretty good spot that I don't think you'd miss out on a ton by buying one now. If the Airpods Pro get that new chip it would be fantastic because if you lose your Airpods (outside of your home/car/work/etc) it can be impossible to find where you left them.
Awesome advice, I may grab the watch gonna look for deals. Also does anyone have a recommendation for a multi charging station. I guess I’ll eventually have phone watch pods. My wife has phone, watch, pods, iPad
same here ..got the 12 Pro Max in December but put off on getting pro pods and have considered just getting another brand bc the reviews here & elsewhere are so hit and miss
