The Ja Morant reward for the Hustle and Show challenge is pretty cool. Just not sure I can justify sinking ~$100 into it https://nbatopshot.com/edition/496d...51f86a3e/1c8c1146-9989-4922-8dc5-1a9e8a227f00
same. I wanted to go for it but the moments went up too high so I sold my moment and decided against it
Decided to open my base packs since this is going downhill. Pulled a super low serial # Terance Mann.
They are releasing a Run It Back set based on the year Philly played the Lakers in the Finals (2000-2001). Have already announced Shaq, Iverson and McGrady moments. But even so, they can continue to tank unless their Hardcourt game is released and is actually good. I have doubts that will be the case and would have had much better confidence in a simulation type game based on moments and rarity. It’s very difficult to make a good arcade style sports game on a mobile device IMO in a short amount of time.
I read that all the bros holding up cameras around Phil Mickelsons last shot yesterday were looking to create NFTs. That true?
They changed breeding in Zed so now there will be significantly fewer offspring. Sucks for people trying to get in but good value for those who have it. Breeding starts mid-June so we all will just have to wait for space horseys until then
I've pissed the cryptocurrency people off enough this week, just wanted to check in to see how you guys were doing.
literally all of us are profitable and it would be essentially impossible for most of us to lose money at this point. So you should maybe start coming to terms with it (or go back to the crypto thread)
I put in I think a grand total of $90. I withdrew $250. I have $108 in my account. Account is valued ~$350. I have like 9 unopened packs I'm letting sit. I'm fine with how the whole TopShot experience went/could still go.
Put in $14. Dapper balance is now $902 If this thing goes under, that's a pretty good ROI. Paid for 3 weeks of daycare
I think you guys are confused about what I want to see happen. I'm fine if you made money early on, I want the whole blockchain cards thing to faceplant. I want the value to plummet and people leave the space and become uninterested. That's where my bet is.
Your bold stance is that a country full of people who can't pay attention for more than a week about genocides, pandemics, and race relations won't collect monetized youtube sports highlights for multiple years?
I just want to see the exploits of space horseys and yet here you all are talking about an obi toppin three pointer NFTs
Next horsey drop is expected June 6 Horsey breeding opens mid-June Ohh races baby horses starting in late-June (and hopefully so do others itt who get horses June 6)
Baseball cards popularity basically increased for a 100 years before the 90's collapse. You're gonna tell me the popularity of some 3 sec clip of a random assist in a meaningless game shouldn't be expected to last? Sounds to me like we're on the same page and you agree with me.
How much do I need to spend to get myself some horseys that can break even? Former derby owners club addict checking in.
If you can get a horse in the drop you should at least 3x your investment immediately if you want to flip. The cheapest horse will cost you about $200 including fees and is going for about $900 right now. If you want to get involved in races and breeding I would suggest at least $500 investment, which will give you about $425-450 after ETH and Zed fees (depending on how busy the market is...you have to pay fees to transfer based on demand). With that you can get one of the cheaper horses ($140 or $240 likely) and then can pay to breed and race
Big fan of new stuff, just as long as that new stuff doesn't suck. When card companies started placing inserts in random packs that was great. When they started putting autographs in packs that was awesome. When they started numbering cards, adding relics, etc. Wild Card tried something new this year by doing 'Thumbgraphs'. I think they're dumb but respect the effort.
Cards and topshots are both inherently worthless. Top Shot could be doing all those things too, the tech isn't the problem it's the people who run it There are no inserts/surprises. They could partner with Cameo and if you pull certain cards you get a video message from the player. They could allow trades. So many things they could do.
The collection of horses from the drop are tremendously valuable (as mentioned, 3x your initial investment). Racing them and finding out they're bad racers really hurts its value both as a horse and as a breeder. Much like trading cards, there is a premium for the unknown If you want to race the one you have, be my guest though
