Chinese Gov been all over Latin America trying to buy influence where we have kind of ignored the region going across multiple administrations the success of our vaccines is a big opportunity but I am assuming we will favor our European allies
Wife's co-worker got it last summer. Can only taste/smell certain things. He was one of those people who when they taste cilantro it tastes like soap. But now, it tastes normal to him

Have a friend who was a big anti masker covid hoax person that caught it and still hasn’t regained either sense. Loves to post about going out to eat and how much they miss being able to enjoy food. Hate to see it.
NY state is allowing concert venues to go back to full capacity with no restrictions as long as the crowd is 100% vaccinated. A popular outdoor venue announced the policy and boy are the comments a doozy. They had to put out a clarifying post just now because of all the angry anti vaxxers
do they know something about "vaccination proof" that we don't? is their plan to check people's stupid little cards?
At this point if we even get SOME states doing this we'll probably see vaccination rates going up, despite how easy it would be to provide a fake card.
This is what everywhere needs to have. Make an app, send people a QR code they can scan to get in places. Its so simple.
It’s so simple. We could probably fuck around and create a gun registration file in excel after lunch while we’re at it.

My SIL did end up developing lupus as a result of Covid. Apparently some people are developing auto immune diseases as a result of the virus.
Yeah. The rheumatologist told her that he’s seen a large up tick in patients. And they aren’t just developing one. My sister in law looks to be developing rheumatoid arthritis. Just sucks. She spent 10 days in ICU with Covid and they didn’t think she was going to make it. She caught it at a nursing home as the owner wouldn’t supply them with PPE. I’m tempted to tell her to file suit.
So I see where China discovered the first human infected with the H10N3 bird flu. Shouldn't be anything to worry about.
This is kinda badly written They've determined she qualifies for the protection but this isn't a comment on her allegations in any way.
It's based entirely on what she's alleging but not addressing at all whether or not the allegations are true. She qualifies for the protection based purely on what she has alleged.
It literally says there is reasonable cause. No one is saying it is for sure true. But you are reading it way wrong
My understanding is that there's a pretty low bar this early in the process (even for "reasonable cause") but certainly I don't know anything so I'll shut up.
Haven’t seen the Fauci emails discussed in here yet. Someone help me understand, but it seems like Covid truthers are using emails from early in the pandemic on mask guidance before that school of thought shifted to say that the whole thing was a farce?
Because they’re morons who all barely passed high school science classes. It’s almost like we didn’t know a lot about this brand new virus when the pandemic started. Crazy I know
“Hur dur, Da Fauci is a liar cause he said different things!” It’s almost like research brings new information.
The main reason that Fauci had to say that in spring '20 is b/c he knew Americans would hoard N95s and other masks that were in very short supply for frontline workers. Nice country we have here.
And they literally said that was the reason, not that masks don’t work. All the chuds I know are obviously taking the emails as this was all just a big hoax. I guess someone needs to tell all the dead people they died because it’s fake
lying about the masks to try to mind trick people into not hording them was a really dumb strategy and it backfired as suspected
People filled the beds of their trucks with gasoline. I think they knew exactly what was going to happen.
some people are running away with the fact he said VERY early on that the virus wasn't manmade but he had no way on knowing that so early on in the first place. people just want to blame something at this point. fringe right wingers would love to blame china directly of course.
Which, to be clear, is not unique to covid. Though it does seem to be happening more frequently with covid. More importantly, that sucks about your SIL
I was much more frustrating by the “masks are hard to use and people won’t put them on and take them off properly” takes. Also, after attending the 76ers game yesterday, young people don’t give a fuck at all anymore.
