I'm contemplating moving my ETH over to USDC until we drop down to the 2000 range again. I can add 33% to my holdings assuming it drops back down...which it will at least go down to 2500. Currently at 2775 for reference.
Damn, I've just smoked a lot of weed and came up with stupid NFT ideas for OpenSea. I just can't draw. Let's discuss the tokenomics of this coin though. Are there NFTs? Please say there will be NFTs.
Well thats what I'm waiting on. I don't think we will have enough participation early on to have our own blockchain without some heavy lifting in development. I think it would be best to tokenize on an existing chain. Eth is too expensive for a shitcoin token for us, so naturally that is out. I suggested we use Zilliqa, because it would be like $0.01 per transaction. Other options would be Conflux, BNB, whatever. This would result in us doing a creation of a large amount of tokens (say like 69,420,000) which then would need to be disbursed somehow. Then theres also the use cases for the token, since it doesn't appear there is a crypto integration with xenforo. That limits our ability to do it for tips and stuff on the board, but it would still be used for bets. Someone could write smart contracts for those or whatever. Also someone would need to write a guide for the non-crypto thread people that want to participate so the thread doesn't get polluted with start-up questions.
I think this all could actually work if we all actually used them. It would show that at least someone is using it, vs other coins that haven't really ever shown a use case. We'd also have to delete this thread and all discussion of it. How much is it to start up? I can Venmo you money for my share.
It think its only like 25 or 30 zil to make the contract. I'm not sold thats the best platform because I guess we also need to consider mobile wallet support for the less crypto inclined, but some options will be free, or nearly free.
I think access is super important. Whatever people can get on RobinHood or any other app that a bunch of people use.
So having been on doing stuff like this for Garlicoin, its not easy to get listed on major exchanges like that and they often want payments as much as $20k. It would probably be best to target easy access on decentralized exchanges.

Have y’all read anything around asset allocation for crypto in terms of your overall portfolio? I poured in some funds and am at 1% of my total invested capital. I think I would be comfortable up to 3-5%, but that’s a lot of dollars.
i at various times bumped into 5% territory during the last year, for a normal investor more than that is very high risk. currently at 0% though but that's in part to not liking the normie options in GBTC or ETHE for long time holds since they could get seriously course corrected if an ETF gets approved (which doesn't seem to be happening any time soon at least).

I always based it on money I have in my bank account + 50% of my stocks. So if I have 200k in stocks and 100k in my bank account, I could have 1-3% of (200k/2 = 100k + 100k = 200k) 200k or 2-6k which doesn't seem like much to even fuck with.
