I have a good friend who is a coach and QB trainer in SD. He has coached in college and was a d1 college QB. I asked him his opinion on this kid and if he's as good when I saw he was getting a ton of attention at some camp. Here is his quote

"Better. He has it. Super locked in. He is in complete control of the offense. This kid is special. He can make every single throw look easy"

I'm guessing that the university held on to creative control in exchange for licensing and prevented Homefield from doing anything particularly interesting or exciting
